M Simons from Yorkshire, August 2010
“The week at Curlew was wonderful. This is a very neat, well kept property that is finished to a high standard. It is extremely well equipped with everything you could possible need and more. Having the extra room downstairs complete with its own ensuite suited us perfectly as my parent don't like stairs and it gave them a privacy (when wanted) from our family with the 2 young children. The big garden allowed plenty of space to run off all that holiday energy children never seem to run out of! Thank you for a lovely holiday.”
Godson Family from Derbyshire, July 2010
“ Extremely comfortable cottage, just a 10 minute walk to the beach and lovely walks from the door. Cottage has been well planned to suit holiday needs and is easy to keep clean which is a real bonus for a young family. We couldn't fault a thing and will stay here again. We particulary appreciated the fast response by Norfolk Hideaways staff when our fridge went wrong.”
Margaret Price from Staffs, October 2009

Local Area

Brancaster is known for its simply stunning beach.  It stretches for miles backed by gentle sand dunes and the famous links golf course of The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club.  Seals bask on the creek edges and children can safely paddle in the tidal lagoons.  The tide goes out a long way revealing the shipwreck of the S S Vina (beware of strong tides and do not venture out!) The sand is perfect for sandcastles and picnics. Kite surfers provide exciting entertainment on windy days. Parking is a few yards from the beach and anyone who walks that little bit further will be rewarded with their own private stretch of sand! The Ship public house has recently been reopened under Chris Couborough The Flying Kiwi Chef to great reviews. Traditional icecream and lollies can be had from the booth on the beach! Wildlife along the coast is abundant and accessible, Marsh Harriers wheel overhead along with Avocets, Oyster Catchers and Terns. A trip would not be complete without tasting the famous mussels, in season when there is an 'R' in the month.
