“We had a lovely stay over Christmas at Sea Holly. The cottage was perfect for us with our 3 year old Daughter. Lots of space and lovely sized living accomodation and bedrooms. Location of cottage was wonderful with lovely views and lots of birds in the garden, including the Jay and pheasant and not to mention the constant visit by the owl right outside our front windows! My daughter Kerry especially enjoyed the horses in the field opposite which we used to go and feed every morning. Recommend the Orange Tree pub and restaurant just up the road. Used many times now and the owner Mark and his staff are wonderful and the food fabulous. Will definitely be back soon for another visit (if it is not booked up that is)!!”

We found Sea Holly very well equipped and suprisingly spacious, even for 6 adults. The location and the views are wonderful, our cocker spaniel appreciated the dog safe garden and we all enjoyed being able to walk to a great, dog friendly pub in the evenings. We had brilliant walks from the cottage without using our cars & apreciated the closeness to the RSPB reserve at Titchwell.”

Local Area

Thornham is an old smuggling village right on the North Norfolk Coast.  Wide expanses of salt marsh separate the village from the sea and it is a paradise for walkers and bird watchers.  There are several great places to eat including The Village Deli, selling all manner of local produce and great coffee, The Lifeboat Inn, an old smuggling haunt complete with heavy beams and roaring fires, The Orange Tree a gastro pub and The Coach House selling pizza and pasta. The beach, reached by a walk over the sea defence over the salt marshes, is stunning and you will be rewarded by peace and quiet!
