“This is a great house in a stunning location 5 minutes from the beach! We had some lovely weather, walks and visits to the many very local good pubs. We will definately return.”
CJ and Jim Brough & George, April 2011
The Lifeboat House is a fabulous detached property tucked away off the main coast road in the centre of Brancaster. A great house for family holidays with plenty of space for everyone! The bedrooms are on two levels giving privacy for two families or for different generations to escape! The rooms are contemporary and freshly decorated with new furnishings and carpets. A large dining area seats everyone for family meals. Brancaster beach is just a few minutes drive or about 20 minutes walk. The newly refurbished Ship Inn (opening in June) is within easy walking distance. Opposite the house is a fabulous childrens play park.

Brancaster is known for its simply stunning beach. It stretches for miles backed by gentle sand dunes and the famous links golf course of The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club. Seals bask on the creek edges and children can safely paddle in the tidal lagoons. The tide goes out a long way revealing the shipwreck of the S S Vina (beware of strong tides and do not venture out!) The sand is perfect for sandcastles and picnics. Kite surfers provide exciting entertainment on windy days. Parking is a few yards from the beach and anyone who walks that little bit further will be rewarded with their own private stretch of sand! The Ship public house has recently been reopened under Chris Couborough The Flying Kiwi Chef to great reviews. Traditional icecream and lollies can be had from the booth on the beach! Wildlife along the coast is abundant and accessible, Marsh Harriers wheel overhead along with Avocets, Oyster Catchers and Terns. A trip would not be complete without tasting the famous mussels, in season when there is an 'R' in the month.
