Briar Cottage is a perfect English country cottage situated in the conservation area of Heacham tucked in next to the church.  It received an award for its restoration from The Campaign to Protect Rural England.   Overlooking a private green it with its own quiet cottage garden, it provides an idyllic escape from the bustle of the coast, yet being only minutes away from the fabulous beaches of North Norfolk.  The cottage will provide the perfect base for relaxation after a busy day on the beach. Heacham is well served with all amenities including pubs, shops, fish and chips and of course the beach is only a 20 minute walk to see the amazing sun sets.

 

Please note Bluebell Cottage a separate annexe to Briar Cottage can be booked along with this house, sleeps 3 and suitable for less able guests. When the cottages are booked together a 10% discount applies.

Entrance hall: With feature curved brick wall.

  

Kitchen:  Spacious well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, cooker, fridge freezer.  Dining table with chairs.  French doors to cottage garden.  Exposed brick walls, pamment floor.

  

Utility room: Washing machine, tumble dryer.

  

Shower room:  WC and basin.Separate shower.

 

 Sitting Room:  Comfortable and very cottagey sitting room with large feature brick fireplace with gas fire, TV and DVD player. Two comfortable sofas, table.  Views to church and green

First Floor

Long landing with seating, storage and book shelves.

 

Bedroom 1: Pretty room.  Twin beds with table and lamp. Wonderful views to the church

 

Bedroom 2: Stylish room with quality fittings and linens.  Double bed with table and lamps, wardrobe. Hair dryer. Wonderful views to the church.

 

Family Bathroom:  Bath, WC and basin.

  

Bed linen provided.

Towels are provided at £5.00 per person.

Outside:   The situation is a real feature of Briar Cottage, outside it looks over a private village green and other cottages, all built from the local carrstone.  There are stunning views to the church.  To the rear of the cottage there is a large cottage garden planted in a traditional style.  The garden gets the afternoon and evening sun so is perfect for alfresco eating.   There is parking here for two cars. The driveway is shared with Bluebell Cottage.

Local Area

Heacham is a great location for families with two unspoilt beaches, a range of shops and many places to eat, including a fish and chip shop and several pubs. Some of the nearby local attractions include, Norfolk Lavender, Snettisham Park Farm, RSPB Nature Reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell, Sandringham House. Heacham Manor is now open with a newly designed championship 18 hole golf course with reasonable green fees. The North Norfolk coast is 5 minutes drive away through Old Hunstanton.
