“Little Wells, in North Creake is a traditional, cosy cottage with a lovely garden, with open views of the countryside. If anything, it is even nicer than the pictures show, and we were all delighted when we arrived. The cottage is in a peaceful setting, well off the main road, so there is no traffic noise, but is still close enough to walk to The Jolly Farmers, which does good food. We booked this for our first evening, so we could relax after driving and unpacking the cars, etc. North Creake is an attractive village which is very handy for Burnham Market and the coast. We enjoyed our week at Little Wells, and found it to be a well furnished fully equipped cottage. The only slight downside was that the beds in the bedroom above the sitting room were not as comfortable as we might have hoped. We also found having a connecting door between the two bedrooms was inconvenient, as conversations / music, etc., was easily heard in the neighbouring bedroom. Given that each bedroom had a separate staircase, we were unsure why this door was needed.”

Little Wells is a picturesque, country cottage, situated in an idyllic rural position. It is over 200 years old and stands in its own delightful cottage gardens surrounded by fields. A paved patio area to the rear is a real sun trap. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard by a conservation builder, with many original features retained, including beams and windows. There are reclaimed floorboards throughout. It is a much loved country retreat for the family that own it and the peaceful location is just perfect for a relaxing holiday, yet only 5 minutes drive to the bustle of Burnham Market and the North Norfolk beaches. The Jolly Farmers pub is a short walk away. Ground floor:
Kitchen: A farmhouse style kitchen made from reclaimed wood. Ceramic hob and electric oven, freezer, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher. Views over garden and apple trees. Wooden floor boards. Pretty pine shelves. Radio.
Bathroom: Bath with shower over, WC and basin. For those who use an electric shaver or toothbrush, please note there are no shaver points in the cottage, please bring an adaptor.
Dining Room: Beautifully appointed spacious room with pine table and chairs, dresser, pine latched doors and wooden floor, views to rear garden.
Sitting Room: Door to rear patio area and gardens, two comfortable sofas, multi burning stove, TV, selection of books and games. Large coffee table. Wonderful views to rear garden and fields beyond.

Bedroom 1: Wooden floor, double bed, velux window with fantastic field views. Dressing table. En-suite shower room with toilet and basin.
Bedroom 2: Wooden floor, twin beds, views to front garden. En-suite shower room shower room with toilet and basin. Staircase to dining room.
Please note that the bedrooms have a connecting door but can be reached individually by their own staircases.
Annexe: A private bolt hole attached to the main house but accessed from a door to the garden. Beautiful room with antique furniture. Large bed, wardrobe and dressing table. En –suite bathroom. Available at £100 per week.

Outside: The beauty of this cottage is its position. A truly rural retreat, away from the bustle of the roads, yet just a few minutes walk to the local pub and a short drive to the coast. The gardens are cottagey with far reaching views over the fields. Mature hedging and apple trees give an air of seclusion and privacy. The paved patio area to the rear is a great place to eat in the evenings and just listen to the birds. There is ample parking at the cottage for two or three cars.

Local Area
North Creake is a pretty village situated approximately 5 miles from the North Norfok coast and 3 miles from Burnham Market. There are many walks out into the coutryside over unspoilt and peaceful paths. The local pub The Jolly Farmers sells good food. Local artist Martin Kinnear has his studio here where you can attend classes.
