The house is in a lovely peaceful position and you really can hear the sea from the garden. Holme Dunes Nature Reserve is a few minutes’ walk and there is access to the bird hide. To walk to the beach will only take 10 minutes. The owner has recorded over 100 species of birds in the garden including Avocets and Barn Owls. There is a good selection of outdoor games including boules and quoits, there is a dartboard and air hockey table in the garage.

“We enjoyed our stay here again. Our fourth time in two years. We have booked again for next year. We love it here. My husband would like to live here. I expect our dog will sulk again when we go home. ”
Paul & Carol from Chelmsford, August 2014
“We had a lovely stay at Ebb & Flow. Cottage was so well equipped and comfortable. So peaceful. Loved seeing the garden wildlife. We will definitely rebook. ”
Bass from Hampshire, June 2014
“We were welcomed by the cuckoo and turtle doves purring....both seen as well. This is the first holiday rental we have had where the brochure described secure enclosed garden was actually secure and enclosed! We had a great holiday in a comfortable well appointed property, ideally situated for our birdwatching. The highlight was having turtle doves actually in the garden. Saw our first muntjac deer. Nice to hear natterjack toads in the evening. Already booked another week in October. ”
Ward from Bourne, June 2014
“Very pleasant stay in beautiful surroundings. Exceedingly comfortable and good for dogs with enclosed gardens. Birdlife prolific especially Turtle Doves. We have been to this area before but this is the best accommodation we’ve found. ”

“What a lovely surprise-a super cottage, everything we could possibly need. Walked to the White Horse; first class meal. Thank you so much for sharing Ebb & Flow with us. It is a wonderful cottage , a wonderful location and we have enjoyed it immensely. So sad to leave all this behind but we will return ASAP. ”
A. Paterson from Doncaster, September 2013
“Thank you. We had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed staying at Ebb and Flow. It is on file to use again. The weather was very kind to us as well. We shall certainly be back maybe next year and will definitely use Norfolk Hideaways again. The local pub, the White Horse, was a bonus as we could take the dog in plus the food was good and realistically priced. Many thanks. See you in the future.”
Babs & Bob Wilde from Coventry, June 2013
“We love this area and were thrilled to find such a treasure as Ebb & Flow. We shall miss the the ever present call of the cuckoos, foxes and the greedy jackdaws ducks and pheasants. Fill up the birdfeeders at night and watch the display from bed next morning – priceless. Thanks for all the thought that has gone into making this a perfect break. ”
Loretta Wright from Portsmouth, May 2013

“Just returned from a week in this very comfortable cottage. Our two greyhounds loved the garden which was perfect for them. The information booklet was the best I've seen including everything you need to make your stay easy. I would reccomend to anyone as it's perfect for the beach and wildlife, hope to return soon. Thank you for a perfect stay. ”

The pretty village of Holme Next the Sea is right on the North Norfolk Heritage Coast. Norfolk Wildlife Trust manages the Holme Dunes Nature reserve. Peddars Way, the Roman road stretches right down to the coast giving opportunities for great walking along with the North Norfolk Coastal Path. The Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton is 3 miles away and the beaches at Brancaster and Old Hunstanton are both less than 5 minutes drive.
