Guest Reviews

“What a lovely house. We arrived to find it spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Where would go go for provisions? Just a few hundred yards to the shops and a small supermarket. Great walks and quiet roads, together with "The Lookout" made for a great holiday and so lovely and quiet.”
David & Maureen Butcher from Bournemouth, June 2011
“This is a lovely place to stay. The bunalow is in a good loation central to local bird watching sites Titchwell and Holkham both with great beaches and dog friendly. The pub is just around the corner and the shops, tourist information and cafe the same distance in the opposite direction. Wells is about ten minutes by car and 20 minutes to Hunstanon and Snettisham a further 5-10. A great place and location for all with the beaches, small villages and wild life. We all had a great time and the bungalow had a welcoming feel of home. Thankyou to the owners for allowing us to bring our family Millie and Poppy woof-woof.”

Local Area

Brancaster Staithe, just a couple of minutes drive from Brancaster, bustles with sailors.  Home to Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club, the harbour is a busy place.  Fresh seafood  and coffee can be had from the shed on the quay (in high season)or you can go up to The Jolly Sailors where children, muddy dogs and boots are welcomed.  For more formal dining The White Horse provides a spectacular view of the marshes where you can enjoy the local seafood whilst watching the tide come in over the creeks.  The Fish Shed gives you the opportunity to take home some great local produce. Kayaks and boats can be hired from Northshore Sport and Leisure. Brancaster Staithe is right on the Norfolk Coast Path. Fresh mussels can be bought on the quay direct from the fishermen, or try Mervyn in the village, he will have a sign out!
