“I found the property on the Norfolk Hideaways website, which is lovely, and my questions and my booking were dealt with kindly and quickly. Shortly beforehand I received complete directions as to how to reach the property by car, and when I arrived it was exactly as shown on the website, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. We had a wonderful week there, and the sun shone for almost the entire week. I will certainly use Norfolk Hideaways again. ”

Burnham Overy Staithe is home to Overy Staithe Sailing Club. There is a comprehensive chandlery on the quayside. The creek is spectacular in all weathers and the walk along the sea bank to the beach is very special. Overy beach is deserted and wildlife is abundant. Miles of sand backed by high sand dunes make it a desolate but incredible place. In season terns nest here on the beach and are protected by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. The Hero pub and restaurant is a couple of minutes walk from the quayside and provides hearty and wholesome food. The Norfolk Coast path runs through Overy Staithe. The black windmill is a true North Norfolk landmark and dominates the skyline for miles. This is owned by the National Trust.
