Surrounding local area

Blakeney is one of the jewels on the North Norfolk coast, a mecca for sailors, birders, artist and walkers. Something really for everyone. The harbour is picturesque and always bustling with children (and adults!)) gillying for crabs. Take the sea defence wall walk over the saltmarsh and you will be rewarded with simply stunning views. The village is a maze of winding streets and tiny fishermens cottages. Great places to eat and enjoy the local sea food.
Blakeney point is a 3 mile spit of sand dunes and shingle with stunning uninterrupted views of the landscapes. It is a wonderful place for walking and wildlife watching as it is home to colonies of breeding Terns and many migraint birds pass through as well as the colony of about 500 harbour and grey seals within reaching distance.

Guest reviews

we had a lovely stay in Blakeney. fabulous convenient location near the quay for crabbing and boat trips to see the seals and a short drive to numerous glorious beaches. Lots of lovely pubs in the area to eat out and on nights where we were exhausted the kitchen at Jane's cottage was well equipped for cooking. We all came home refreshed and happy.

A trip down memory lane - My view of this lovely little cottage is tinted by it being home when I was growing up; it still has its character.

We had a lovely week away at Jane's Cottage with our two little boys. We were blessed with beautiful weather and the location in the heart of Blakeney was perfect - we had several crabbing expeditions! The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and very clean and well-presented. We would highly recommend it and would love to stay there again.

Lovely clean cottage in excellent quiet location. Fantastic local seafood available. Great local galleries to browse with many local artists on display. Plenty of time visiting local towns and villages also plenty of time to unwind in perfect surroundings. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to Jane's Cottage and another good holiday. The weather was lovely that week with only one day of showers. Jane's is in a great location for pubs and restaurants and shops. The owners provided a few most welcome and much appreciated extras and we were able to have a cup of tea within minutes of arriving. The kitchen is modern with good equipment although there are lots of great places to eat locally.
