Property details
A stunning, unique 'off the beaten track' characterful cottage with separate accommodation in The Nut, nestled in a secluded position within the Bayfield Estate, yet only two miles from both the coast at Blakeney and Cley, and the pretty Georgian town of Holt.
Summer Cottage is the perfect bolthole for extended or multi-generational families who appreciate a choice of space and peace. It's also a really romantic retreat for a couple or two. Both Summer Cottage and 'The Nut' have been refurbished to a high standard and offer single storey, stylish accommodation with stunning views across the beautiful Bayfield Estate. The main cottage has quarry tiled floors throughout which are dressed with rugs for warmth underfoot. A very cosy sitting room has a striking, original flint wall, wood burning stove and french doors leading to the garden. From the sitting room, walk through to a spacious open plan kitchen where you will find a comfy sofa and armchairs set around a wood burning stove and television at one end of the room, creating a relaxed and sociable ambience while supper is prepared. To the side of the kitchen is a dining conservatory. There are two en suite bedrooms (super king/twin and double).
Further private accommodation is available in 'The Nut', a detached wooden chalet that sits within the garden, and enjoys the most stunning views across the valley. There is a super king/twin option bedroom, shower room and a cosy sitting room for two with tea making facilities.
Nearby Bayfield Estate has nine miles of permissive footpaths through the grounds and woodlands.. The woods include some of the oldest oaks in the country including one dating to Edward II’s reign in 1360. A haven for wildlife, Summer Cottage is an ideal location for birdwatchers and keen walkers or those looking to find the perfect hideaway to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life!
Smaller parties of four can book Summer Cottage (4), when use of The Nut will not be available.
