Property details

Tides Reach is a gem of a holiday home perfectly situated beside the marshes at Morston and overlooks Blakeney harbour and Blakeney Point. Originally four brick and flint cottages, Tides Reach dates back to the 18th century and was built by a local ship owner for his best sea captains. The cottages have now been converted into one, creating a wonderfully comfortable home while retaining all the charm of a traditional cottage.

The cottage has its own spacious driveway with ample off road parking, and borders a fenced meadow which guests are welcome to use, providing a lovely safe play area for children and dogs. It also has a private walled garden adjacent to the house. On the far side of the meadow a private path leads to the marsh where it opens up to a stunning view with the backdrop of Blakeney Point. The walking possibilities are endless and dogs can be walked off the lead on the marshes. Tides Reach is equally suited to couples wishing to enjoy a peaceful walking break or to a family group with children. There is a Low Occupancy Discount of 15% for four or less.

Surrounding local area

Morston is a beautiful small village on the North Norfolk coast, sandwiched between Stiffkey and Blakeney, it is home to the famous Morston Hall, winner of a coverted Michelin star and home to famous chef Galton Blackiston.
The Quay is at the heart of all that happens in Morston, you can join Bean's boats for a trip out to the seal colony - a truly memorable trip and if you only do one thing during your time in Norfolk, we would highly recommend this be it. The colonies of common and grey seals live harmoniously together on Blakeney point all year round.
If you don't want to splash out on the luxury of Morston Hall, there is the Anchor Pub in the village, with a great reputation for friendly service and really tasty food.

Guest reviews

Fabulous location, beautiful garden and access to some lovely walks through the meadow and onto the marsh. Lots of room both in the property, which is full of character, for all the family and dog and also lots of parking space. The pub was also a bonus extremely good food and dog and baby friendly. A great week.
