Property details

A superb, spacious light and airy single storey three bedroom cottage with a sleek and contemporary Scandi-style interior with pale wooden hand crafted furniture and colourful furnishings.

Helgon Lodge's rather modest exterior belies its stunning, stylish interior. Located in a quiet road in this pretty North Norfolk coastal village, this wonderful holiday retreat offers well-equipped, comfortable accommodation and a very warm welcome at any time of year. The generous light-filled sociable and relaxing open-plan living area overlooks the pretty courtyard garden; the sitting area has a fully glazed wall - just slide back the doors and bring the outside in. This is a perfect space for families and friends of all ages to enjoy time together. Beyond the sitting area is a small study/snug with desk, an ideal spot for catching up with a favourite book, or work - if you must! There are three really good sized bedrooms (a king size, double and twin) and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. The West facing garden is totally enclosed, and a real sun trap for catching those warm Norfolk rays. For little ones, there is a small children's play area in the garden with a Wendy house and sandpit to keep them happy. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Helgon Lodge, but asked to respect house rules.

Conveniently situated just a few minutes' walk away from the heart of the village where you will find a well-stocked village store, and the popular Ship Inn, which serves good food all day. The beach and coastal path is a fifteen minute walk or just a two minute drive down to the beach car park. The Coasthopper bus service runs through the village throughout the year, and stops at all the coastal villages from Cromer to Kings Lynn.

Helgon Lodge holiday cottage location

Surrounding local area

Weybourne is a very pretty coastal village made up of flint cottages and set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has a shingle beach popular with fisherman, and from here you can join the coastal path and enjoy a wonderful three mile cliff-top walk to the Blue Flag sandy beach at Sheringham, or walk into beautiful Sheringham Park or Kelling Heath.
The village is famous for the Muckleburgh Military Collection and Weybourne Station, a delightfully preserved Edwardian country station, which is a stopping point for the Poppyline steam trains than run between Holt and Sheringham throughout the year.
There is a popular pub serving very good food, a well-stocked village store and two tea rooms.
The Coasthopper bus service runs through the village on its travels between Kings Lynn and Cromer.

Guest reviews

Weybourne is an ideal place to stay as it is so easy to access so many places of interest for all the family and Helgon Lodge was perfect for walking to the beach, village centre and steam train station. The bungalow was very comfortable and just right for our two grandsons - with plenty of room and no stairs! They loved the safe garden, especially the playhouse and sandpit.

This was the perfect holiday location for the wedding that my daughter and son in law attended in High Kelling and also for my tracked vehicle driving as part of the visit to the Mucklebrugh collection. We also enjoyed the beaches nearby, especially the pleasant walk down to the nearest in Weybourne. The property was spacious and had all we needed for a brilliant week. Just the provision of a generous patio table to save us carrying the folding one out each meal would have been a great asset especially as the weather was so good we ate outside almost every meal.

Thank you for providing us with such nice holiday accommodation. We were very fortunate with the weather and as three 70 year olds, thoroughly enjoyed walking and visiting Wells, Holkham, Sandringham, Blakeney and loved the walks on the North Norfolk coast here at Weybourne. We ate in each day and the facilities were very adequate. Please note that the beds were very comfortable. Thank you.
