Property details

Marsh View is a modern property situated in a quiet, small residential development located at the top of Salthouse village. A 70's house, Marsh View has recently undergone a complete renovation and now offers contemporary, light and spacious accommodation, with an open plan living space downstairs. Two independent first floors offer separate sleeping areas. On the top floor there is a fabulous, luxurious master suite with roll top bath within the bedroom, and en suite shower room. All the bedrooms have wonderful views across open countryside to the rear or over the marshes towards the sea and church at the front.

A wood burning stove will keep you warm on cooler evenings and the lovely sunny, private garden overlooking open fields is perfect for relaxing and whiling away long summer days and evenings. Marsh View is extremely well-equipped and presented throughout. Although there are four bedrooms in total, the living accommodation does not lend itself to more than six guests, and the house is therefore limited to a maximum of six (please specify which rooms are required on booking).

Surrounding local area

Salthouse is a picturesque village located on the North Norfolk Coast just north of the small market town of Holt, and just east of Blakeney and Cley.

Salthouse is a situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and overlooks the salt marshes next to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve at Cley. Clustered around the village green are pretty cottages, a pub with a large front garden that looks directly over the salt marsh, Cookies Crab Shop offering platters of seafood, salads, sandwiches and ice cream. East of the village, past the village pond, is a cottage where you can buy Fish & Chips during the summer months.

The magnificent church of Salthouse holds regular art exhibitions and concerts throughout the year. A new shop has recently opened called The Old Post Office selling local produce including beef from the cattle grazed on the marsh.

The beach is mainly pebble and shingle, but unlike other parts of the Norfolk coast, the tide does not go out very far. Parking is easy and it is perfect for a picnic.
