Appletree House was built in the 1920s and comes with an enormous amount of elegance and style with breath-taking panoramic views and south-facing gardens. Although the views to the front are captivating, the gardens to the rear which are south-facing are equally enticing and offer the facility to sunbathe and relax in a very private location. Styled by Colonel Jack Lesley and his wife Margo to provide the perfect space for living and of course entertaining, they come with an Italian sunken garden, pagodas, deep flower beds and pretty walkways.

Inside you will be wooed by stylish interiors, underfloor heating, spacious rooms with high ceilings, a large kitchen/breakfast room, dining room and equally stylish drawing room, all enjoying breath-faking views of the saltmarshes. A grand staircase from the entrance hall leads up to the first floor where there are four double bedrooms with the master bedroom suite having an impressive en-suite bathroom as well as a walk-in dressing room. Three of the bedrooms enjoy the stunning saltmarsh views and the central bedroom as well as the master bedroom suite both have access out to the substantial roof terrace overlooking the saltmarshes. On the second floor there is a further bedroom suite with its own private roof terrace and a bathroom.

Brancaster boasts one of the best beaches on the North Norfolk coast. With its Roman influences, heritage coastline and fine sandy beach it sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village also boasts a gastro pub, The Ship, which is managed by the award-winning TV chef/landlord Chris Coubrough.
The chic and trendy village of Burnham Market, fondly referred to as Chelsea-by-Sea is only a short 10-minute drive away where you will adore the independent shops, art galleries, boutiques and renowned restaurants.
Play golf at The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club which lies parallel to Brancaster beach and boasts a fine links course. Walk to Brancaster Staithe harbour about a 15-minute stroll along the coast path to buy fresh fish straight from the boat or walk a few minutes further and enjoy a long lunch or a bowl of Brancaster mussels on the beautiful outside terrace at The White Horse restaurant which also boasts stunning views of the saltmarsh, just like Appletree House.
Don’t miss a visit to HM The Queen’s private residence at Sandringham, a day trip to Houghton Hall or the Natinal Trust properties at Blickling or Felbrigg; or of course any of the numerous bird and wildlife reserves that are in abundance along this coastline.
Hire kayaks and paddleboards locally and explore the creaks where only you and the wildlife share the space, or hire a boat and head out to Scolt Head Island where the sand is soft and white and you only leave footprints. The privately-owned Holkham estate and beach is also well worth a visit.
