This delightful bungalow situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the popular village of Brancaster offers light and contemporary accommodation with a fully enclosed garden. Ideal for one or two couples or a family looking to be close to the beach, the North Norfolk coastal path and Brancaster Staithe sailing harbour. Dog-friendly and child-friendly, it is a great base for a fabulous holiday in North Norfolk, whatever time of year you choose to visit.

All on one level it features a spacious sitting/dining room with open fire for cooler evenings and during the warmer months, you will love the bi-fold doors which lead through the small conservatory out onto the rear garden. The well-equipped kitchen is light and bright with dual aspect windows and both bedrooms are a good size, with windows overlooking the garden. Dog owners will appreciate the outside tap and conservatory organised for walkers and dogs to clean paws and shed dirty boots in comfort before entering and relaxing in the house.

Quietly located, a two minute walk through the cul-de-sac and onto the Branodunum fields (ideal and safe for dog walks) brings you to the coastal path. A left turn and a short walk brings you to the Ship pub/hotel/restaurant and onto a scenic walk to Brancaster's beautiful sandy (and dog friendly) beach where you can elect to take a picnic and explore or sit amongst the dunes. A right turn and a 15 minute walk brings you to the picturesque and bustling sailing harbour of Brancaster Staithe where you can buy fresh local seafood and call in at the Jolly Sailor pub or The White Horse for locally brewed ales and award-winning food.

The Royal West Norfolk Golf Course is also located at Brancaster although advance booking is recommended.

With perfect walking opportunities and bird watching at the next village at the RSPB nature reserve at Titchwell, you are perfectly located to explore the whole of the coast.

The Coasthopper bus stop is in easy walking distance from the property, so if you want to leave the car at home and do some exploring, then use this wonderful facility which also welcomes dogs aboard too! Or bring your bikes and enjoy a week of cycling the quiet lanes.

With so many dog-friendly beaches and pubs and restaurants right along this stretch of coast, your pampered pooch can look forward to a relaxing time too!

Sea Wind holiday cottage location

Surrounding local area

Brancaster is known for its stunning sandy beach. It stretches for miles backed by gentle sand dunes and the famous links golf course of The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club. Turn left as you walk onto the sand, walk for a while and you'll eventually see seals basking on the creek edges. At Brancaster, children can safely paddle in the tidal lagoons and build sandcastles to their hearts content. When the tide goes out, the shipwreck of the SS Vina is revealed, although be aware that the tides are strong and come in quickly, so resist the urge to venture out and look! The soft sand is perfect for enjoying picnics and kite surfers provide exciting entertainment on windy days. Parking is a few yards from the beach and there is a kiosk selling ice creams, snacks and drinks all day during the summer months. The Ship pub/restaurant is run by celebrity chef, Chris Couborough and offers good food and ales. Wildlife and birdlife along the coast is abundant and accessible, Look up and you'll see Marsh Harriers overhead or maybe the pink-footed geese who migrate to this area from September - April. A trip to Brancaster would not be complete without tasting the famous Brancaster mussels and Cromer Crab (in season when there is an 'R' in the month)! Buy fresh fish and yummy takeaway food from the Fish Shed in the neighbouring village of Brancaster Staithe where the fisherman land their catch and have fun with the children crabbing from the pontoon. There are two pub/restaurants in Brancaster Staithe; The Jolly Sailor's and The White Horse, both of which have won awards for their cuisine and service. With HM The Queen's Sandringham Estate a short drive away and Burnham Market only a 10 minute drive in the car, there's plenty to do and see. Head further a field and enjoy the wonderful beaches and beach huts at Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea. Adventurers will adore Hunstanton Watersports, while bird lovers should head to the RSPB bird reserve in neighbouring Titchwell village. Head to Pensthorpe to get back to nature or for younger ones head to Bewilderwood for the day. Don't forget the Coasthopper bus service allows you to walk the coastal path without having to do a full circular walk! With a bus stop close by, you can park the car for the week and explore by bus, foot or bicycle!

Enjoyed another lovely stay in Brancaster. Cosy and warm bungalow with everything we needed. Not far to our favourite beach for a walk, tea and chips. No doubt we'll be back in Brancaster in teh not too distant future.

Another lovely, relaxing, week's holiday here in this warm and comfy bungalow. As we've stayed here many times before it's been wonderful returning to the best beach (Brancaster), best pubs with excellent food and beer and the many local shops selling fresh fish, mussels, bread, apple juice etc. It's so easy to relax when our 2 border collie dogs are made so welcome too. We enjoyed the fresh eggs and the dogs enjoyed their biscuits. We will look forward to our next holiday here.

We had a lovely New Year break in this comfortable cottage. It was a convenient base to visit our favourite beaches (which our two golden retrievers love). We could then return to relax here. Thank you for the welcome treats (the dogs also say a big Thank You). The secure garden was also good for them. Happy New Year.

Thank you for the lovely Christmas hamper - Mia our 10 month old German Shepherd loved the smackos and jumbone - her second visit here and she has loved it - on the beach everyday. Holme next the Sea is a lovely open beach. We have enjoyed it so much we have booked again for next Christmas. Thank you once again.

Thank you for a lovely stay at Sea Wind. Excellent accommodation, everything you need and the fire was perfect for this time of year. Brancaster Beach is great for dogs, car park adjacent. Thank you for the milk and mince pies and Rosie (border collie) says thank you for the bones and water. The fish shed was excellent for seafood. Lovely Christmas tree, thank you. Thanks again for a lovely relaxing stay. Best Wishes and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Lovely weekend staying at Sea Wind. Accommodation great, we couldn't fault it. The milk and biscuits were greatly appreciated on our arrival as were the bones. Brancaster beach is great for dogs - miles of sandy beach. Car park next to it - £1 in winter months. (To get there, go back to main road, turn right and then right again after the Church). The food at the Jolly Sailors is fantastic and dogs welcome. (Go to main road and turn left and follow it. Also along here is the supermarket). For a lovely walk through the pine forest head to Holkham and the beach is a 10 minute walk....it's well worth it. Thanks again for letting us use your lovely bungalow, hopefully we will be back. Best wishes

Thank you for a lovely stay at Sea Wind. Our first time staying in Brancaster. The house has been very cosy and comfortable. Did need the fire as the weather wasn't too good but didn't stop our enjoyment. Great food at The Ship and also The Gin Trap at Ringstead. Reggie says thank you for the yummy biscuits and dog bowl with fresh water waiting for him. Off to Wells now for a week of more walking and eating.

Second visit this year and another great week. So quiet, slept like a log, wish we could take the bed home. If you want a great breakfast you must try the Yurt at Drove Orchard. Mia, our 7 1/2 month old German Shepherd loved being able to walk to the beach. Holme Beach was so quiet we were the only three on the beach - fantastic. Only 9 weeks and we will be back for Christmas. - can't wait.

Bungalow was perfect for us and 2 dogs. Clean, comfortable and containing everything we needed. Great beaches for dogs at bran caster ,Holkolm and Old Hunstanton. For bird watchers Titchwell reserve 4 minutes drive away. Lovely enclosed garden which hopefully will get some TLC this autumn it would be a shame to let it get neglected. Highly Recommended .

A really relaxing week in excellent accommodation. The bungalow was very comfortable with plenty of space and everything you might need had been thought of. It was a very quiet location, the walk to the beach was enjoyable and our dog loved the beach, all we needed to keep her happy was a tennis ball. We will definitely use this property again.

Lovely Holiday at Brancaster. We had a lovely holiday. Sea Wind is situated in a quiet cul-de sac and was clean, comfortable and ideal for our dogs,as garden was secure. The garden was pretty and the Wisteria over the front door was lovely.
It's great to have a parking space too. It's not too far away from the beach and driving distance to other lovely areas of North Norfolk.

Warm and welcoming. The bungalow was lovely and warm during a particularly inclement week. A well stocked kitchen, comfortable lounge and very useful conservatory for muddy dogs! An excellent location for getting around and about in North Norfolk. Very close to the North Norfolk coastal path, RSPB Titchwell and lots of local pubs well worth a visit.

Happy days at Seawind. One of the best self catering we have stayed at. Clear directions on how to get there and retrieve the key. The bungalow was warm, for which we were very grateful as it was very cold outside. There were clear directions for everything, like the heating and a fire all laid up for us to light. It was in a good location, to reach the lovely sandy beaches and places of interest around.
Our dog loved it as he had a properly enclosed garden to run around in and the beaches were the best, to run around freely on and explore the pools.
Would recommend Seawind thoroughly and hope to go back there ourselves.

Weekend break. An excellent location for a weekend away with your four legged friends.
Excellent location in a very dog friendly part of the country. Easy access to the beautiful Beaches at Brancaster. The cottage itself was cosy, comfy, well equipped, very clean.
Lots of great walking trails. We had a great weekend and will definitely be back.

A cosy bungalow in the perfect place. We have stayed here many times and is one of our favourite places to take our dogs. It's close to the fantastic Brancaster beach and 3/4 excellent pubs. The bungalow itself has everything that you need for a self catering holiday, good choice of utensils in the kitchen, a comfy bed and plenty of seating space in the living room along with an open fire for colder days. We were there in a very cold spell and were cosy and warm because of the heating all over the house. We would highly recommend the property and we will return hopefully later this year.

Christmas Break - we were welcomed at Sea wind by Christmas decorations and many treats that were much appreciated, including the two stockings for our dogs. The bungalow was well located for walks along the coast path and many good places to eat and drink. It was warm and comfortable, very easy to manage for dogs in the winter

Home from Home - An excellent bungalow, very clean, comfortable and in a quiet location with easy access from the door to coastal path and the sea. Enclosed garden was excellent for our small dog and the owners left a couple of dog biscuits for him upon arrival which were greatfully received and eaten. Would recommend Sea Wind to others and will definitely return in the near future.

Really enjoyable visit to Brancaster, very comfortable, cosy cottage with everything we needed. A few lovely walks along Brancaster beach equals a very tired labrador each evening. Delicious fish and chip takeaway from Eric's and a visit to Deepdale Christmas Market made the weekend delightful. A fantastic cottage - perfect for dogs and a great location. Will ensure another visit in the near future. Many thanks.

Had a lovely 4 day break at Sea Wind. The accommodation was excellent clean and very comfortable my wife daughter and pet dog had a memorable stay. The coast line around this area is fantastic we walked for miles taking in the sights, after a good day out it was nice to relax in the spacious living room, our pet dog Odie loved the enclosed garden too. We would very much consider coming back in the future.

This was the third time we had stayed at Sea Wind and would recommend the property for it's cleanliness, position and warmth. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to self cater including a dishwasher. The bedroom had good hanging space and drawers for clothes and the bed was very comfy. The sitting room is a very good space with 2 comfy sofas and large TV. We have 2 dogs and the conservatory is a great space for them if they come back from wet walks! The garden is also good for the dogs as it is enclosed.
We chose this property as it's close to Brancaster beach, perfect for the dogs and near to several excellent pubs serving very good food.

This was our second stay in Sea Wind. The bungalow is in a great location, very clean and provides all you need for an enjoyable break. The enclosed garden and the conservatory is perfect for dogs, although a lock on the gate would have been better. Will definitely stay again.

Our first stay here and we loved the bungalow. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Our dogs Alfie and Daisy found the welcome Bonios were a wonderful gift! Information was very useful - especially the directions to the coastal path and beach. The weather was not great but it didn't spoil out stay as the accomodation was warm and comfortable. We feel well rested and refreshed so hope to return next year and will recommend this place to friends and family. Thank You.

This was our second stay in Sea Wind and as before it didn't disappoint. Perfect location for easy drives to Holme-Next-the-Sea, Thornham and Hunstanton and around 20-25 mins drive the other way from Wells, Sheringham, Holt etc. Bungalow itself is well equipped, comfortable, quiet location with an enclosed garden. Wi-fi a lifeline as EE coverage not the best. The Ship just down the road does great food as does The Jolly Sailors at Brancaster Staithe. Brancaster beach is superb, vast areas of sand when the tide is out which is perfect for dog walking, kit flying etc. Walk further down towards Titchwell and you'll see the seals basking at low tide. Can't fault any of it, comes highly recommended by us. Norfolk Hideaways is professional and always a pleasure to deal with.

Another fabulous stay in this lovely bungalow. Always well eqipped and plenty of bedding. Holme-Next-The-Sea and Brancaster are great for dog walking. The ship does great food, and Erics Fish and Chips in Thornham are superb. Little Fish Shed up road to Brancaster Staithe does a great selection - we will be back

Sea Wind is the best holiday home we've had in Norfolk over many years. It was perfectly clean on arrival with clear instructions for everything we needed. The garden is secure so perfect for our dog. The garden furniture is comfortable and we enjoyed sitting out in the sunshine. It's in a quiet part of the estate, in a cul de sac so no through traffic, and it's far enough from the main road that you rarely hear traffic noise from there. It's the perfect size for us and we hope to be back.
