Surrounding local area

Brancaster Staithe, just a couple of minutes drive from Brancaster, bustles with sailors. Home to Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club, the harbour is a busy place. Fresh seafood and coffee can be had from the shed on the quay (in high season)or you can go up to The Jolly Sailors where children, muddy dogs and boots are welcomed. For more formal dining The White Horse provides a spectacular view of the marshes where you can enjoy the local seafood whilst watching the tide come in over the creeks. The Fish Shed gives you the opportunity to take home some great local produce. Kayaks and boats can be hired from Northshore Sport and Leisure. Brancaster Staithe is right on the Norfolk Coast Path. Fresh mussels can be bought on the quay direct from the fishermen, or try Mervyn in the village, he will have a sign out!

This is the second time we have stayed at Cush's Covert and enjoyed it again. The accommodation is excellent and well equipped, thanks also to Norfolk Hideaways for their efficient service.

We enjoyed our holiday at Cush's Covert in early September. On arriving we were very surprised by the size of this property. It was very well presented and there was a lovely welcome basket of goodies and also some staples in the fridge. A nice touch. The children enjoyed their treat. This property is very well cared for by the cleaner and gardener and is a loved holiday home. The bungalow has huge gardens and a good sized swimming pool which was heated and made our swims very enjoyable. The bungalow is the best equipped property that I have ever rented with everything you need. The children loved the piano and took turns at entertaining us. The countryside views are wonderful and it is a very peaceful place. Our grandchildren cried when they had to leave as they enjoyed their stay so much and we would all love to return for another holiday there. It was a pleasure.

This is the second time we've stayed at Cush's Covert and this year didn't disappoint. We were very pleased to have large pool towels provided this time in addition to fluffy white bath towels. The pool really is lovely and if you get good weather like we did it's like having a villa with a pool in Spain! There is so much other outside area to use too, my little grandson loved the wooden wendy house. The welcome pack provided is generous including wine, butter, bread and milk. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped for about 20 people, nothing is left out. I can't recommend this property enough.

We live in the country but this property was far quieter-wonderful. It is like the tardis it just goes on and on. The views from the garden are lovely, the pool was one of the warmest we have had. House extraordinarily well equipped, plenty of everything. Beds comfortable, bedding top quality,as was the welcome pack. Two pubs and lovely cafe in walking distance, plus the sea practically on the doorstep. We had a problem with the fridge which was quickly remedied -excellent customer service! I would happily come again. Definitely excellent value for money

This is a family owned bungalow not just another holiday home and felt a welcoming place helped no doubt by the numerous generous amount of goodies left for us to sample. A wonderfully large conservatory and spacious lounge but the icing on the cake was the heated swimming pool. With the sunny days, it was so wonderful to return from an outing for a cool dip. We'd book again!

The spacious bungalow had a delightfully quirky 70's decor with a very homely feel. Each room was very well equipped for almost all eventualities. the sleeping accommodation was excellent and the en-suite bathroom, in particular, had a certain grandeur. The gardens were immaculately kept and being a corner plot, the views of the farmland from the gardens were wonderfully panoramic. The house was exceptionally clean for such a large house with so many different areas. its situation was perfect for exploring beautiful North Norfolk. Highly recommended.

Could not have chosen a better cottage or location to spend our time in North Norfolk. The owners had thought of everything. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed watching the Geese flying over to the nearby field late afternoon. We were out birdwatching most of the time and it was great coming back to the cosy cottage. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Cush's Covert to anyone wanting to stay in that area.

A blissful week in north Norfolk We had a fabulous time at Cush's Covert. It's a real home from home and nothing is too much trouble for the owners. The little touches such as beach towels and sports equipment make such a difference. The home itself if wonderfully spacious inside and out and great for hide & seek. The location is ideal - you could be anywhere when the sun is shining and it's so secluded you forget you're in a residential street. The location is ideal - five minutes to a pub and local shops and ten minutes to the harbour , tennis courts and another pub. The icing on the cake is the pool - a great feature which we made full use of every day. Can't speak highly enough of the property and the owners - thank you for a wonderful week.

Beautiful, spacious property with wonderful, secluded gardens. Just had a brilliant weekend break. Great location, convenient for beach, shopping, coastal walks and great places to eat. Many other places to visit in the area. Well worth researching the North Norfolk area before visiting. We have been visiting the area for many years, now found a super property. Will be booking again.
