Brancaster Staithe, just a couple of minutes drive from Brancaster, bustles with sailors. Home to Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club, the harbour is a busy place.
Fresh seafood and coffee can be had from the shed on the quay (in high season)or you can go up to The Jolly Sailors where children, muddy dogs and boots are welcomed.
For more formal dining The White Horse provides a spectacular view of the marshes where you can enjoy the local seafood whilst watching the tide come in over the creeks. The Fish Shed gives you the opportunity to take home some great local produce.

Brancaster Staithe is right on the Norfolk Coast Path. Fresh mussels can be bought on the quay direct from the fishermen, or try Mervyn in the village, he will have a sign out!

Guest reviews

The best cottage we've had. Everything about this bungalow was excellent. It was the hottest week of the year so far, and to be able to go back there in the scorching heat of the afternoon and feel cool was wonderful. It was brilliantly equipped, spotlessly clean, ad with terrific showers- so essential in this weather. A thoroughly enjoyable, if very different holiday.

Fantastic Location. We have stayed in North Norfolk quite a lot over the past few years and stayed in cottages by Norfolk Hideaways. I can honestly say that this is the only one we would come back to, not that the others were bad, its just that this one is so good! Everywhere was spotless, well decorated and tidy. Everything was provided that you could possibly wish for and we all thoroughly enjoyed our week. The location was so quiet but everywhere was within such easy walking distance. We took the dog on long walks along the North Norfolk Coastal Path which went on forever! This was so close as it just across the main road behind the bungalow. Brancaster beach is also a must visit place as there are no dog restrictions at all. Lots of places to visit, eat and drink in the vicinity of the bungalow and I can't fault it, nor the location. We will definitely come back to Norfolk as it is so dog friendly and the people are so nice and welcoming. I will definitely re-book Four Seasons next year if I can but no doubt it will get booked up very quickly.

We really enjoyed our stay at Four Seasons. The 3 bedrooms all had good storage space and the en-suite was excellent. We had a 1yr old with us so were pleased the high chair and cot were provided. BT TV was a bonus and the lounge was very comfortable for the 6 of us.
The local village is small but there's a NISA at the garage which you can walk to in 5 mins and sells almost everything you need plus a café and 2 local pubs within walking distance one of which has take-away pizza. The local area has a lovely coastline (Brancaster is the nearest sandy beach) and lots of places to visit. We will definitely return.

Thanks for a trip down memory lane. Used to live in Norfolk over 35 years ago. Lovely to see North Norfolk coast at its best apart from the rain! Perfect and cosy little bungalow, great location. A very comfortable home from home, many thanks.

Thoroughly enjoyed out Christmas break in this bungalow. The Christmas tree was a lovely surprise. Very clean with all the facilities we needed for staying with elderly parents. Fantastic location for shops and short walk to The White Horse and Jolly Sailor pubs. Excellent walks along the coastal path and ideal for jogging a 5k route opposite the shops along a bank with marshland as a lovely view. Would recommend Eric's Fish and Chips at Thornham. Thank you for the Welcome Pack!

Lovely clean spacious well equipped property in a quiet location. Good size enclosed rear garden although near a road the road was not that busy during our stay but could be during the summer period.
Only a short car journey to the beach at Brancaster.
Would definitely return to this property in the future.

Four Seasons is a fab little house that accommodated the six of us (4 adults, 2 children) just perfectly. There was plenty of room to relax helped by the fact we had good weather so could be out In the garden.
It is well located to be able to walk to all that Brancaster Staithe has to offer and beyond via either the costal path or hopper bus. We would happily come back here with either family or friends as it offers a good deal on this beautiful stretch of coast.

Beautifully thought out holiday home. Special touches which exceeded our expectations were: quality white goods: super showers: in lovely new bathrooms: big fluffy bath sheets: amazing electric heating which heats up rooms in just will never be cold here! Cottage is In a quiet position and not overlooked but close to supermarket which stocks everything you might have forgotten to bring. The garden is secure for dogs and our little one settled in well. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
