Property details

Escape to Park Cottage; a laid back, luxury self-catering cottage on a beautiful private estate. Set in glorious grounds and wonderfully secluded, this stylish rustic retreat is sublimely positioned amidst pretty woodland and parkland and yet is within easy reach of North Norfolk’s best beaches.

Once the gamekeeper’s cottage, this pretty as a picture Norfolk Hideaway is tucked away on the Fring Estate and has now been transformed into a luxury self-catering cottage with modern and light interiors.

The traditional carrstone wall exterior conceals the modern features inside. With stripped floor boards, this property is honest yet welcoming with lots of light and offers a spacious master super-king bedroom, king-size bedroom and a twin with two full-size singles, all dressed with crisp white linens. With two bathrooms; a family bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs, this property would be perfect for a couple, small group of friends wanting complete seclusion; or a family wanting to enjoy country life, yet still be in easy reach of the coast for saltwater adventures.

Park Cottage’s private surroundings are perfect for relaxing and unwinding and dining al fresco too, so if the weather is glorious then head outside. On cooler evenings, light the open fire and read a book or watch Sky TV. Children (and adults-alike) will love the games room (with table tennis table) adjacent to the cottage, perfect when the days are not so sunny.

The estate provides the facility to hire up to 6 bicycles (adults and children's bikes available), so you can explore the expansive grounds on two wheels. Cycle routes will be supplied in the cottage. Guests can use the thee footpaths and cycle paths within the estate during their stay.

When you're not on foot or cycling the quiet lanes, drive to the beaches at Old Hunstanton, Brancaster or Wells. For the more adventurous, head to Hunstanton Water Sports or discover the wildlife at Pensthorpe, Snettisham Park Farm or the RSPB reserves at Titchwell or Snettisham.

Surrounding local area

The small rural village of Fring is only a 10 minute drive away from the beautiful but sometimes busy North Norfolk coast and is less than 10 minutes from HM The Queen’s Sandringham estate, parkland and grounds.
In the heart of West Norfolk the ever-popular village of Burnham Market is very close by and offers numerous pubs/restaurants, boutiques and independent shops.
Burnham Thorpe the Birthplace of Admiral Lord Nelson is worth a visit too, as is Brancaster Staithe with its sailing facilities.
For the best Sunday lunch around, head to No.Twenty9 in Burnham Market or the fabulous Duck Inn at Stanhoe, but make sure you book first!
Docking village is close by, with good local amenities including a grocers, post office, fish and chip shop, blacksmith and pub.
Brancaster beach and The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club are about a five minute drive away as is the beach at Old Hunstanton and Hunstanton Golf Club.
Pay a visit to the Titchwell Bird Reserve, home to terns and waders, about 10 minutes drive away or Snettisham RSPB reserve where in the winter months you can have breakfast on the beach and watch the hundreds of pink-footed geese fly over as they roost inland to feed off the sugar beet.
Head to Thonrham Deli for breakfast, take a picnic and head to the beach and then end your day eating some of the best Fish and Chips on the coast at Eric's at Drove Orchards in Thornham which also boasts a smokehouse and restaurant in a yurt no less!
Further afield are the stately homes and grounds of Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall.
With so many blue-flag beaches on the North Norfolk coast and some of the darkest star-filled skies you will ever see, Norfolk is undoubtedly unique and you will love it, as you will Park Cottage.
