Surrounding local area

Burnham Market is often regarded as the loveliest village in Norfolk and is close to the North Norfolk Coast.
For intimate dining head to 20 North Street, for Tapas and sharing plates, try Socius; or stroll down to No.Twenty9 where they cook your food over an open fire pit imported from New York no less!
The Hoste Arms offers plenty of charm and character and both informal or fine dining and you can choose to eat in their front or back restaurant or outside in their sunny terraced garden. The Hoste Beauty Spa, also in the village allows you to enjoy some well-deserved pampering during your stay.
Head to Burnham Thorpe to retrace Admiral Lord Nelson’s steps or Brancaster Staithe where Nelson first learned to sail.
Enjoy the beaches at Brancaster or Wells where you can enjoy sunbathing in the sandy dunes or pull on your walking boots and enjoy a coastal walk to Burnham Overy Staithe where you can watch the boats or catch a boat to secluded Scolt Head Island, one of North Norfolk's best kept secrets.
Don’t forget to visit Holkham, considered the best beach in the UK and where the closing scenes of Shakespeare In Love were filmed.
With numerous stately homes; including Houghton Hall; Felbrigg and Blickling and of course HM The Queen’s Sandringham residence to visit, you will adore the variety and natural feel this wonderful coast offers.
Immerse yourself in the birdlife at Titchwell, Snettisham or Cley-next-the-Sea reserves, or of course Pensthorpe where you can enjoy a wildlife safari.

Clean, cosy and comfortable cottage with a delightful garden to relax in, situated in the heart of Downham Market. Cottage has plenty of character and charm, value for money, with easy access to the coast and surrounding areas of North Norfolk. Street parking can be busy at weekends. Short walk to a variety of pubs, restaurants and shops.

Bluebell cottage is wonderful, clean and comfortable. The owner provided extras which were greatly appreciated, especially the Norfolk fruit cake. Being situated centrally in Burnham Market, everything was in walking distance, including a wonderful restaurant, the North Street Bistro, Exceptional food and wine at reasonable cost, within a few miles were superb beaches and wonderful seafood shops. Norwich is a joy to visit and is highly recommended as a day trip. I will appreciate if you will pass on our thanks to the owner of Bluebell cottage and also this quote from Emily Bronte.
The Bluebell is the sweetest flower,
That waves in summer air,
It's blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit's care.
Thank you.

“We stayed at the cottage over October half term, perfectly placed in a beautiful village. From the cottage you can walk everywhere around Burnham. Suitable for all our family. Our daughter age 10 loved the cottage and has asked to go back. Near Holkham, Brancaster Beach, Wells, Blakney. Everything is in the cottage you could ask for. The owner could not be more helpful. We will be staying again.”

“This cottage is ideal for a couple or small family. It is beautifully equipped, bright, warm and comfortable. It is ideally located in Burnham Market, a few steps from the village centre, and within an easy drive of many lovely North Norfolk villages and the coast. We would happily stay here again.”
