Property details

Fisher’s Lodge is situated in a stunning position overlooking Burnham Overy Staithe creek.

There is a driveway which comes straight off the creake with plenty of space for both boats and cars. It has a pretty fenced garden and is a peaceful suntrap. A perfect retreat for sailors, walkers and birdwatchers. It can be booked together with Mays Way Flat, sleeping 2, which can be accessed via an interconnecting door on the first floor, making it perfect for a two generation family holiday.

The Lodge has recently been completely refurbished and redecorated. The Hero pub serves good local food and is within a few hundred yards.

Surrounding local area

Burnham Overy Staithe is home to Overy Staithe Sailing Club. There is a comprehensive chandlery on the quayside. The creek is spectacular in all weathers and the walk along the sea bank to the beach is very special. Overy beach is deserted and wildlife is abundant. Miles of sand backed by high sand dunes make it a desolate but incredible place. In season terns nest here on the beach and are protected by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. The Hero pub and restaurant is a couple of minutes walk from the quayside and provides hearty and wholesome food. The Norfolk Coast path runs through Overy Staithe. The black windmill is a true North Norfolk landmark and dominates the skyline for miles. This is owned by the National Trust.
