Property details

Ten Meadow Rise is a real hideaway for adults; and a little bit of contemporary luxury in rural North Norfolk. It is spacious for two people, with a lovely open plan living space downstairs comprising a large kitchen with dining table, sitting room with leather sofas and a log burner. There are two sets of french doors out onto the fully enclosed, decked courtyard garden. The wet room is hidden behind sliding doors and the mezzanine bedroom floor has a balcony over the sitting room with a view out to the garden through the ceiling height windows off the living area.

Situated on a small development of similar properties, just two minutes walk from the local pub,The Plume of Feathers, the cottage is also close to the village green where there is a tennis court and children's play area. South Creake is a popular village only five minutes' drive from Burnham Market and within ten minutes' drive of the beautiful beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea, Brancaster and Holkham.

Accommodation

Ground Floor
Black slate floor throughout with under floor heating.

Entrance Hall
Different coloured sliding doors hide a large cupboard with hanging space and shelving, a cupboard housing the washing machine and vacuum cleaning etc and a behind the green door the clever
hidden Wet Room.

Wet Room
Floor to ceiling marble with a ceiling mounted rainfall shower rose, wash hand basin & WC.

Kitchen / Diner
Super contemporary galley style kitchen with deep storage drawers running on both sides and lovely American walnut work surfaces, a large island facing the sitting area with the sink & drainer, there is a six ring induction hob with integrated combination microwave/oven below, integral dishwasher, kettle, toaster, espresso coffee machine and fridge. There is a bistro style dining table and stools by the window to the front of the property and French doors out to the patio at the rear.

Sitting Room
Lovely room with a full height ceiling at the atrium of the window over the garden. There are two two-seater leather sofas, large flat screen TV & DVD player, docking station and a large black comfy chair. There are two funky standard lamps and a great circular wood burner for when the weather is less forgiving and the large French doors to the decked garden are closed.

First Floor

There is a open tread steel staircase to the mezzanine floor with an open hand rail at the top (not suitable for children)
Please Note: Due to the open construction of the staircase and the hand rail to the top floor it is extremely important that dogs are kept downstairs. There is no stair gate and so it is a good idea to bring a crate for more adventurous dogs to sleep in!

Bedroom
A clever room with a multi pitched ceiling (restricted headroom in some areas), forming a mezzanine level above the living area below, the balcony has a view out over the garden area through the ceiling height windows in the sitting room. The king size bed has wall mounted lamps on either side and the seating area has hidden storage underneath. There is a long cushioned seat along the balcony overlooking the sitting room and a wicker chair.

Outside
To the front of the property is a shingled drive with parking for two cars and to the rear is a charming enclosed decked courtyard garden with a table & four chairs.

Surrounding local area

South Creake is a lovely village just a couple of miles from Burnham Market. There is a lovely village green in the centre with a playpark for children and tennis courts. Sir John Betjeman loved the church here. The village is home to The Yorke Trust, founded in 1985 to promote the arts and particularly music among young people. A more recent developement, The North Norfolk Music Festival, presents concerts by international musicians in the church.

Guest reviews

home from home here at no 10. Thank you for all the kind extras available in the kitchen for all the items we forgot. So thoughtful! Lovely comfortable interiors and easy open plan living for a holiday stay. Convenient position for lovely walk and visiting burham market and the north norfolk coastline. Lastly and most of all ...thank you for the champagne and chocolates on New Years Eve which were enjoyed watching the superb firework display in your communal field next to the property. Wonderful.

“We felt welcomed on arrival at this uniquely designed, open plan country retreat. The luxury chocolates and Champagne was a lovely surprise from the host as well as the dog treats for our dog Mollie. We very much enjoyed our stay and especially liked the evenings spent sitting in the private lush garden in the rear of the house, listening to the owls and watching the stars. We loved all the features of this stunning property and we had a very memorable holiday.”

“Cheeky Autumn break in summer heat!! what a wonderful find! This little place is ideal for short and longer breaks in the beautiful North Norfolk area. Perfectly equipped with quality fixtures and fittings ensured this haven was a true home from home! We booked at days notice, having our original holiday plans changed due to health reasons. The booking process was extremely easy and handled in a sensitive and kind way and the welcome box of chocolates was an added bonus! Our dog Woody enjoyed the freedom of a space of his own on the secure back decking not usually afforded him at home due to free range chickens, so a big paws up from him too!! Just a shame the weather was so glorious as we were itching to try out the wood burner- maybe next time!! The dog friendly pub a stone's throw away is a must- we even bought staple groceries there too! In summary, highly recommended- if you ever fancy selling up, please give us first dibs!!!”
