Lighthouse View holiday cottage location

Surrounding local area

Cromer, perched on the very edge of the north Norfolk coast, is famous for its tasty crabs, wide open beaches, traditional pier complete with a theatre providing seaside special variety shows; and is awash with small local independent shops.
As you would expect of a seaside town rich in fishing heritage, Cromer has a lighthouse and a proud tradition of RNLI service. It has been said the lifeboat service is the lifeblood of the town and the Henry Blogg Musuem offers a great insight into the services past history.
In Cromer you will find a vibrant Norfolk town with a wide variety of cafes, restaurants, shops and accommodation, all independently owned and many passed down through the ages from parents to children.
For shopaholics, in addition to traditional seaside shops selling buckets and spades and seaside gifts, there is a selection of local art galleries, homeware stores, ladies & gents fashion and fashion accessories shops; food stores with local produce including several fish shops, featuring the famous Cromer crab; and other privately owned stores, including those specialising in assorted arts and crafts including baking and knitting.

Our Christmas Hideaway/Getaway! Once we found our way in, lovely apartment nice touches on arrival (chocolates, fizz and panetonne) much appreciated after drive from Northampton, plus the Christmas flowers, another nice touch. Have had a very enjoyable Christmas break. Nice walks along the coast to Cromer (roughly 20/25 minutes). Very enjoyable area to visit and the apartment is peaceful. Just what was needed. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay in Lighthouse View. Good spot for touring North Norfolk (our 1st visit) would recommend The Forge at Northrepps for a meal (if you can negotiate the quiet lane on a dark night)! Thank you.

Lighthouse View - home from home. I had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Lighthouse View. The bottle of wine awaiting my arrival was a nice touch, as was the pint of milk in the fridge. It is in a very peaceful location, but close to amenities including takeaways. The rooms are bright, airy, well furnished, and set in a beautiful building. And there is a view of the lighthouse!

Thank you! I have had a lovely stay. Lighthouse View is so comfortable, a real home. It was everything I need, and things I didn't realise I need! It has been the perfect base for me - I'll be back!

Superb accommodation and service
Delightful apartment, very well appointed, lovely decor, good open view. Extremely spacious. Initial problem with water/heating was very efficiently dealt with by both owner and agent. Service from agent was really first class. Excellent location for easy access to Cromer and for walking on the coast which was the purpose of our stay. A pleasure to stay in every way, and we certainly hope to visit again.

We chose Lighthouse View because it specifically said no pets, it wasn't too close to the centre of Cromer, had WiFi and off-road allocated parking. The rooms were very spacious and bright. On arrival, there was a complimentary carton of milk and a bottle of wine, which was nice. The accommodation was quiet and we didn't hear anything from the adjacent flats. Parking was in a dedicated space on the driveway. The road outside is wide and there's lots of easy parking there for any extra cars. We spent most days walking to the centre of Cromer which takes about 20-25 minutes, which was perfect for us. The lighthouse and coastal path is also just a 10-15 minute walk away. Cromer has a huge Morrisons supermarket on the other side of town, and there's a small convenience store just on the other side of the park from the accommodation. The WiFi, although not 'superfast', was reliable and fine for general internet use. All in all, we'd be happy to come back here.

A great location for both walking the coast and driving to other coastal and country locations. Well equipped, spacious flat in a quiet area, many great placed to eat or buy picnics. We travelled to Great Yarmouth, Hunstanton the other way and Nowich inland. two or three National Trust locations are lovely villages between destinations. Would highly recommend the Lighthouse View to young and old alike.

Our second time at Lighthouse View. It is a great place in a really good location. We very much enjoyed our stay. The National Trust properties of Felbrigg and Blicking are well worth a visit and teh coastal walks are a joy.

What a lovely place - enjoyed exploring North Norfol. I think The Dun Cow at Salthouse has become my favourite pub in the area.
