Property details

Moongazer Cottage is a sympatheticly refurbished, newly renovated cottage, set back from the road in a quiet area of the pretty North West coastal village of Heacham. The cottage is beautifully presented and stylish with lots of period features. There is a spacious kitchen with dining area and a cosy sitting room with wood burner. The kitchen area is particularly welcoming with hand built bespoke units and exposed beams and a wonderful eating area with pine table, bench seating and chairs. A small utility area with washing machine is ideal for those 'after the beach days' and there is a downstairs bathroom with shower - great for little ones, to wash those sandy toes!

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms. The master is light and bright and has a double bed and pretty window seat that overlooks the lane. The second bedroom has twin beds (full size 3ft) therefore suitable for adults or children. A cloakroom is located upstairs with a WC and wash hand basin.

The rear garden is fully enclosed so great for dogs and children. There is garden furniture to dine al fresco and the tree offers some welcome shade on sunny days.

Heacham beach is a 10-15 minute walk away from the cottage, so easy to pack a picnic and head to the beach for the day. Heacham village has a range of shops, pubs and amenities and a family pub which is great for sunday roasts and well known its Thursday night Steak night!

Norfolk lavender is located on the edge of the village which boasts a fabulous farm shop and Indoor/Outdoor Play area for the children.

Head out in the car and you are in easy reach of everything North Norfolk has to offer, including bird and nature reserves, stunning beaches and wonderful deli's, restaurants and cafe's. Hunstanton is closeby too with its watersports facilities, Sea Life Centre and much more.

For the younger generation there is nearby Snettisham Park Farm with lambing feeding in the Spring and the whole family will enjoy the deer safari. A little further afield and just a 15 minute drive is HM The Queen's residence, Sandringham House which you can tour at certain times of the year and the parkland and woods and well worh a visit too.

Guest reviews

We booked Moongazer for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary week and we were not disappointed. Lovely cosy cottage with all mod cons. Great location with walks from the door, good facilities nearby too

Amazing stay at Moongazer. The owner meet us on arrival to show us around the property and left a lovely welcome hamper which came in very handy. The cottage itself has been restored to a very high standard and has everything you could possibly need. The cottage really suited us we have teenage son & daughter and they enjoyed being able to look out of the Velux windows at the stars at night. Its a great base to explore the Norfolk coastlne with Walks from the doorstop and further afield. We have holidayed in Norfolk for may years and we felt we really hit the jackpot this time with the property we chose

We found this cottage charming - spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It was a pleasure to stay in. Even though it was small, it was big enough for people with comfort.

A well kept secret Home from home. Perfect location. Fantastic holiday. By far the cleanest property we've stayed in and we've been to a few! Would highly recommend the cottage when visiting the north of Norfolk, it was a great base.

A beautiful cottage in a great location. We loved the cottage which is extremely well equipped, comfortable and an excellent fully enclosed garden which was safe for our dog.
Heacham is a lovely place to stay with a very good butcher, baker and Tesco local so you can get all you need.Make sure you take a walk around the village as it is really nice, a few pubs and easy for trips out to Sandringham, Cromer and Sheringham.
The beach is easy to walk to and spotlessly clean plus dog friendly. We would certainly come back again and have recommended to friends and family.

We have just returned from a weekend break in Moongazer Cottage. We have had a fantastic weekend, in the best cottage we have ever stayed in. The facilities are excellent, and the thoughtful welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and delicious chocolates was great after our journey. The cottage is beautifullu decorated, and the log fire very welcome on a chilly day, easy to light and very efficient. Excellent parking facilities, we will definatley be returning to this delightful cottage.
