Property details

If you want front row seats for the most incredible Wash sunsets you cannot find anywhere better than The Heacham House. Situated down an unmade track that runs adjacent to the beach and promenade you are as close to the beach as you can be. The house itself is beautifully appointed with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The kitchen is downstairs with an open plan dining and seating area with access to the decked veranda and BBQ. Upstairs you really get the 'wow' factor when you open the door and see The Wash right in front of you. A glass sided walkway leads to French doors and another balcony - just perfect for a sundowner. Outside you have your own private steps onto the promenade and beach. Birdwatchers will have a unique view of the mud flats at low tide and the waders and geese migration in the autumn months all from the comfort of your armchair. A very special house indeed.

Guest reviews

Located between Heacham and Hunstanton this wasn't our usual Norfolk stomping ground, but we weren't at all disappointed. The house is so comfortable, it could be blowing a gale outside and you would just be warm and cosy. The kitchen was extremely well, equipped for a holiday let and we were able to cook to a really goodstandard on the days when we couldn't be bothered with the fuss of eating out. It was obvious this was someone's second home and not just an investment. Dogs are allowed on the beach throughout the year so we didn't have to worry about some of the restrictions we usually encounter further down the coast. Overall we loved our stay here even on the days when the weather was bleak. Highly recommended.

The house is fantastic. Amazing location coupled with unusually good weather, BBQ every night, beach in 10 steps, walk down the promenade, very sandy and tired kids and dogs. House has everything you need and more. I loved the personal touches like the hand drawn welcome poster from the owner's children. The staff at Norfolk Hideaways were very efficient and friendly.

“This was a very last minute holiday as we had to cancel our planned Italy trip however this wonderful short stay made up for it. Heacham House is in a stunning location with spectacular views. The house benefits from a safe outside decking area where the doors could be left open and the dogs free to lay outside. The house has been renovated well and is extremely comfortable. The house is very spacious and much bigger than we required with only two of us with two dogs. However I have struggled to find a holiday location so well placed directly in front of the beach. The location would suit those who would prefer the busier Hunstanton or the much quieter Old Hunstanton and Heacham. The promenade walk was perfect for being able to access Hunstanton or Heacham by foot. We had a lovely four night stay and didn't go out in the car which was lovely as we could walk to where we wanted to go. I would recommend The Heacham House and would love to go there again next year.”
