Little Lalapanzi holiday cottage location

Surrounding local area

Hunstanton is a traditional Victorian Seaside town with numerous shops, cafes and some nice restaurants. It also boasts the Sea Life Aquarium and Hunstanton Watersports where you can enjoy some adrenaline fuelled sports!
Old Hunstanton is adjacent to the larger resort of Hunstanton. The quieter character of Old Hunstanton complements that of its busy sibling, with clifftop walks along the famous stripped cliffs past the Old Hunstanton Lighthouse and the ruins of St Edmund’s 's Chapel, built in 1272.
Old Hunstanton is also close to the start of the Norfolk Coast path which extends over 40 miles along the beautiful North Norfolk coastline.
Pine trees, dunes and beach huts separate the village from the wonderful beach and in the village itself there are some shops and a craft centre, a Michelin-starred restaurant and two pub/restaurants;The Ancient Mariner and The Lodge, plus a fab beach café next to the RNLI lifeboat station where you can have breakfast and watch the world go by.
There is also a famous Links Golf Course at Old Hunstanton, which follows the coastline and provides wonderful views.
The RSPB reserves at Tichwell and Snettisham and the NWT reserve at Holme-next-the-Sea are all close by, as is the Sandringham Estate, private residence to HM The Queen. Head to Brancaster beach, Holkham or Wells if you want to explore the coast a little further.

Guest reviews

This is our second stay at Little Lalapanzi. We were here in June during the 'heatwave'! Weather not so good this time time, but we've had a lovely break despite the rain. We are here house hunting so Little Lalapanzi is the perfect base and lovely to return to after a hard day's viewings! Much appreciated the welcome pack and your lovely hospitality. We will be back.

Thank You - we have had a very relaxing few days in your property. It makes a very comfortable sty in North Norfolk - our favourite place. It provided everything we neede at this time of year - a lovely warm base to come bafck to after a day walking or bird-watching. We ate at the Ancient Mariner in Old Hunstanton, and they gave us this voucher which might be of use to the next guests. We can also recommend the cafe at RSPB Titchwell at lunch time.

We have loved our stay in Little Lalapanzi, thank you Louise! Your generosity of spirit and quality of everything we found and used makes for a truly 'five star' experience. We live just west of Cambridge and have family in North West Norfolk so visit regularly (if not for the expense it would be much more often) so, would like to return to your 'home from home' in the future.

Thank you so much for our stay in your lovely annexe. The welcome hamper was thoughful, the decoration and standard of the rooms was immaculate and so comfy. Didn't want to leave! Everything we needed was here. Also love the garde4n - such a quiet location. Had some lovely local walks, even in the rain, we enjoyed our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend your lovely annexe - Thank you - you should be so proud of what you have achieved.

We have enjoyed a week of settled, dry and sunny weather to further explore the northern coast of this rather special county. Little Lalapanzi has been an excellent location, very comfortable, well designed and easy to get around. Many thanks to Louise for the welcome pack, friendly welcome and invitiation to share this beautiful and interesting garden. We spent the first of 2 days here in Old Hunstanton - one of our favourites. This has been a most enjoyable week's holiday. We have so much appreciated the comflort and convenience offered in this accommodation. I feel sure that we will return to this unspoilt and interesting area. Many thanks to Louise for a warm and friendly welcome. Our thanks again for a great stay!

We have in previous years stayed in properties in Ringstead, Wells, Thornham as well as Hunstanton. Little Lalapanzi is clearly the most comfortabel, best equipped and best located. Super bathroom, bath and separate shower. Excellent kitchen, walk in wardrobe, plenty of storage space. Louise was very welcoming and friendly. We used the 36 Bus most days to get us to the start of (or back from end) of the excellent walks along the coast. The weather was breezy but warm, excellent for walking. Thank you for a lovely holiday. Your welcome pack was much appreciated.

Little Lalapanzi is of an excellent calibre, offering all we sought and more. Lovely location, tastefully decorated, well planned and comfy. It is an ideal base froom which to explore. This, our first visit to the area, has been rewarded with many delights, including the sunsets and seeing teh seals by water from Hunstanton. Aided by the 'Hunstanton Guide Book' we have enjoyed exploring on foot....Hunstanton, its Heritage Centre, the cliffs, Old Hunstantoon and Hunstantan Hall's permitted path round the estate have all be rewarding and each is worth of a visit. We recommend this accommodation, overlooking the private garden. It is very peaceful, and we appreciated the owner's support.

Had a very nice time here. Very relaxing holiday this time as we did not venture too far. Had a little rain but it did not spoil our days, as it was a relief after the last six weeks of hot weather. Loved your garden, the Tin Man was great!

Having booked a week in Norfolk already we wanted another week and were lucky enough to find Little Lalapanzi free. Hunstanton is a new area for us and a good base for the coast. Little Lalapanzi was a revelation! Furnished to a high standard and convenient to the local amenities without being overwhelmed by them. The rain on the final day brought an end to weeks of tropical heat but not to our enjoyment of the area - a wet walk along Wells beach and a Dutch lunch at The Albatross! Thank you!

Little Lalapanzi was perfect place to stay. It was on the edge of Hunstanton with sea views and extremely quiet location. Ideal spot to visit the North Norfolk coast. We really do hope to visit again soon.

We have really enjoyed our stay. We have had fantastic weather, enabling us to sit out on the patio in a fantastic garden. it is very peaceful here. Not too far to walk into Hunstanton where there are great shops. Have used the bus into Kings Lynn and wells. Fantastic views from the front of the property and had a nice walk along the beach. Thank you to the owner for being so friendly and helpful!

Thank you for a lovely stay. Little Lalapanzi is perfect. We had lovely neighbours and Larson was a great character. Ringstead had a nice village pub and Norfolk Deli in Hunstanton great for lunch. Wells deli is always good for lunch too. King's Lynn historical quarter was very interesting but not the town. Old Hunstanton good for a potter around. Thank you so much and we hope to come again before long.

A last minute decision to visit this area and thankfully Little Lalapanzi was vacant. We obviously chose the gap in the one-off English sunshine but still made the best of the lovely surroundings. Bircham Windmill is definitely well worth a visit and do make their own bread too. Bakery produce and cafe are nice too. Lovely walks from Wells Town up the estuary to the beach and fabulous array of beach huts, well woth the walk and a photo or three. Burnham Market - really pretty and lovely for a mooch. Not forgetting the beach and clifs just over the road. Didn't want for anything other than a hair dryer. Thank you for a restful stay.

we thoroughly enjoyed our week in Little Lapanzi. The host was friendly and helpful and provided a nice selection of welcome treats. Little Lapanzi is very well equipped. As seasoned self caterers we wanted for nothing. The accommodation is bright and spacious with an excellent bathroom and plenty of storage/hanging space in the walk in wardrobe/dressing room area. we were blessed with the weather and enjoyed sunny mornings on the patio which spectacular sunsets from the front of the property.

We have had a fantastic week at Little Lalapanzi. The holiday came at a perfect time when we both needed to get away from the day to day stresses of life! This is the perfect place to do this!v Very well equipped kitchen - everything you need. Lovely bath and shower and lots of storage space. Comfy bed. The cottage is in a great location, near enough to the town but far enough away so you are not disturbed by it. Walks right on the door step. Old Hunstanton is a lovely area for walks, pubs and just pottering around. We even had friends over during our stay and had dinner in the lovely wooden seating area in the garden - thanks to our lovely hosts who were very relaxed and welcoming. Thank you!

we are very pleased to be the first guests here through Norfolk Hideaways. The holiday home is beautifully decorated and supplied throughout. We specially liked the big fridge and the lovely shower. Locally, we have been to Heacham Lavender which has a good gift shop, cafe and deli. we have also visited Langham Glass at Fakenham which was interesting. we found the cottage to be very quiet at night, allowing a good nights sleep. All in all, a very relaxing stay.
