Property details

Beachcomber is a superb contemporary house two minutes walk from the beach in Old Hunstanton.

The house has a high specification and is very comfortably furnished. The downstairs living space is open-plan with bi-fold doors to the decked area. The house is light and airy with a real ‘beachside’ feel, is decorated in restful colours, and there are lovely sea views from the first floor.

Sleeping eight, with three bathrooms upstairs and a shower room downstairs, this house is a wonderful place for both families and friends.

Beachcomber holiday cottage location

Surrounding local area

Old Hunstanton is a rarity along the North Norfolk coast in that you can get very close to the beach without walking a long way over the salt marshes! Miles of sand, gentle sand dunes and beach huts make this a perfect family seaside holiday destination.
For the more active Old Hunstanton has become a mecca for Kite Surfing.
Hunstanton Golf Course, a challenging links course is voted amongst the top 100 courses in Britain.
There are great places to eat, all within walking distance of our holiday cottages, including The Neptune a Michelin Star restaurant, The Lodge Hotel and a lovely traditional beach cafe serving a good fry up!
The lifeboat station is a good place to visit and maybe see in action. The hovercraft being launched is a sight well worth seeing!

Guest reviews

What a beautiful house, we were so lucky with the weather, sun on the beach on New Year's Day. So relaxing to stay somewhere within walking distance of beach, pubs and restaurants. Many thanks and Happy New Year.

A wonderful place to stay for Christmas. We relaxed the moment we walked through the door. Fantastic location - lots of wonderful walks on the beach, especially at sunset. Fantastic place for our family to meet up.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful home. The welcome we received when we arrived - lights on, food card and Christmas crackers, really made us feel Christmassy! Our first Christmas away from home started with a real "sparkle". We've had a fantastic week here and will certainly look to return next year.

It felt like home. A tastefully decorated house, well equipped and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Everything you need to enjoy a family holiday on the Norfolk Coast.

A lovely holiday in Norfolk, our second to beachcomber. A great spacious house and well equipped for a family holiday. Love the Bifolds on to the deck and the snug at the bottom of the garden in the late afternoon. The boys loved the puppet theatre and put on some shows for us. hey also loved visiting the lifeboat station on the way to the beach. Shower room excellent when coming from a day at the beach. Recommend Eric's fish and chips and lovely cake at the Boathouse Cafe.

60th birthday celebrations - we stayed at the house to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was fantastic! The downstairs area was great for us all to socialise in and the bedrooms are lovely too. The location is very good - easy access to the beach. We had a lovely week and would definitely recommend.

Wonderful Long Weekend
We were a party of 8 staying Friday to Monday at Beachcomber. The house was immaculate and there was plenty of room for everyone, the heated flooring was a particular luxury given the weather was cold and wet. We cooked all 3 nights and found all the utensils we needed in the well stocked kitchen. The location of the house is wonderful, 5 mins from the Beach and just up the road from a lovely craft centre. I would highly recommend Beachcomber for families or large groups, it's a beautiful house in a great spot.

We had a wonderful stay at Beachcomber, excellent location close to the beach and a home from home. The house is lovely, great layout for families and provides you with everything you need. The added touch of the basket of goodies was greatly apppreciated. We would love to visit again.

This was our tenth three-generation family holiday in Old Hunstanton and found Beachcomber a wonderful base. It is so close to the dunes and beach, and the house offers every comfort. We particularly enjoyed the garden, with its colourful planting.

A lovely house for three generations, and so close to the dunes and beach. We've loved sitting around the big table, looking out to the garden. A great holiday spot.

“This is our third visit, so clearly we love coming here. The house has such a lovely feeling, home from home. We are so comfortable here and the facilities cater for every need ... This is such a peaceful, unspoilt spot.”

“Beachcomber is in the perfect position if you have a mixed age group holiday. A 2 year old and Great Grandad at 89. The close proximity of the hotel meant that the 'olds' all stayed at the hotel, and had a wonderful time visiting from time to time! The house is well equipped, spacious and a good deal of thought has gone into providing just about everything that is needed for a holday home, off the beach room very useful. We had great weather, and enjoyed the small but delightful garden and deck, lovely to be able to eat out most evenings. A lovely house.”
