Guest reviews

Amazing, beautiful place. Perfect! Beautiful remote setting. Well equipped. So peaceful and quiet. But not too far from local shops and pubs. A perfect location for star gazing as its not spoilt by electric light. The cottage was clean and well presented. The pint of milk waiting for us was a nice touch (especially as we forgot to bring ours ) will definately come again. There is so much more to see and do in Norfolk, we needed more time. See you next year!

A beautiful, clean cottage. Spacious and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful views from decking. The location was was superb. Very quiet and lovely walks from the door. It is central for visiting many beaches and nature reserves. Norfolk is very dog friendly. I would highly recommend this cottage and am sure we will be back.

The house was very comfortable with all you need in kitchen, the bathroom was lovely, the bed was very comfortable. The laundry was very handy. The area is very quiet. We enjoy bird watching, the RSPB sites Titchwell and Snettisham are not far away, also Cley Marsh Reserve. Morston Quay is good to go on a seal trip. There are plenty of supermarkets in Fakenham, Holt and Kings Lynn. All in all a good area to visit.

Perfect for dog holiday - great central location, cottage had everything we needed and our dogs were made very welcome which is very important to us. Owners even provided a hose pipe to wash down the spaniels at our request.

A very homely cottage - stayed for 4 nights at Foxglove. The first thing you notice is how warm it was also very clean. There was no smell of dogs, just so relaxing. Went to The Jolly Sailors for pub lunch, ideal location will be back.

Very relaxing and marvellous for dogs. Foxglove was ideal as a base for exploring West Norfolk. It is in a quiet location, with footpaths on the doorstep for dog walking, and was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were discreet but attentive, and provided a hose for washing the dogs feet off before entering the house, and were around to help if needed. I would like to return 'in season' to visit the National Trust properties nearby and also Sandringham.

Perfect for a dog friendly break - The cottage was perfectly located for us and the hounds, the hard floors so easy for us to maintain, hopefully we returned it as clean as when we arrived. We had a lovely break, thank you for providing such a lovely base.

Had looked at this cottage online several times before but always opted for one closer to the coast. Decided to finally give it a try and certainly wasn't disappointed. Exceptionally clean and well equipped. Gorgeous location with fabulous walks right on the doorstep. And not that far from the coast after all. Had a great stay.

My Husband and I stayed at Foxglove Cottage for a week with our Labrador puppy, Meg. It was just perfect - well laid out, well decorated and well equipped. Just outside the back door there's a decked veranda perfect for keeping the dog (and any children) close by if required although they are very welcome to enjoy the freedom of the field with the horses and chickens etc. The location is fantastic, a lovely quiet spot in the country with good local walks and yet just about 20 minutes to any of the beaches on that part of the Norfolk coast. Not to forget to mention that Ed was a super host - friendly and helpful... Thank You. We couldn't fault Foxglove Cottage and would highly recommend it.

Hi Jo and Ed! Well, where to even begin? This whole experience has been glorious! You have an amazing and unspoilt haven here, yet only a short drive to all of North Norfolks charming and must-see towns, villages and statley homes. We booked a mere 24 hours before arrival, but this was no issue and we have been made to feel very welcome. We are especially impressed by the attention to detail in the cottage. It has been beautifully converted to provide top quality accommodation that looks and feels homely. We found a book or two to enjoy from the bookshelves; were delighted to have real coffee provided with a cafetire and sugar lumps; appreciated the kitchen equpiment that allows us to cook up some local produce; were chuffed with the good quality shower; and thought the uninterrupted news of homes and fields strtching into the distance were idyllic. To be honest it is hard to put into words just how this place makes you feel and we are grateful you have made it possible for us to sher something you get the pleasure of every day. Thank you as well for the black book you've written. This allowed us to make the most of every single day and we didn't have a single disappointing meal! If we are ever in this area again (We've been looking in lots of estate agents' windows!) we know where to book! Thank you again.

Another amazing week at Foxglove. Ed, Jo and family have created a wonderful haven from where you can explore a beautiful part of the world. Whatever the weather there's always something new to see. Out interests are walking, cycling and wildlife and I'm sure no matter how many times we return, we'll never run out of things to see. Better get some dates sorted for next year!! Thanks again for another enjoyable stay.

A warm welcome when we arrived started what turned out to be an excellent stay at Foxglove. The location appears totally remote yet is only around 20-30mins drive to much of the North Norfolk Coast and countryside. Traveling elsewhere is totally optional though as the local area offers some wonderful walks and cycle rides. Wildlife watching around Foxglove is also excellent with Hares, Deer, Red Kite, Barn Owls and numerous game and song birds easily seen. Foxglove itself was a joy to stay in. Comfy, warm and containing everything you need for your stay. The decking out back was just the icing on the cake with beautiful rural views and the owners horses, chickens and Guinea Fowl passing the day away feeding and foraging. Ed & Jo really have ensured your stay at Foxglove is as comfortable and relaxing as possible and it goes without saying a holiday here is highly recommended.
