Property details

We are very excited to welcome this trendy coastal pad to our portfolio. Stylised, but relaxed, this ravishing couples retreat located in beautiful Thornham village has exceptional style and manages to bring a little bit of Notting Hill to the coast! Within easy walk of the beach and numerous pubs/restaurants, a deli/cafe and shops, you couldn't be in a better spot.

The master bedroom suite at No. 33 Cottage 2 is simply amazing ... with its Vincent Van Gogh inspired wallpaper and mirror headboard, you will feel like you are in a luxury boutique hotel. And with fluffy white towels, bathrobes and sumptuous linens, you will be assured of a good nights sleep too. Teamed with a bathroom to die for, which comes with a black slipper bath, walk-in shower and geometric tiles, you will look forward to a long soak after a busy day exploring the coast.

Downstairs the style continues with a beautiful open-plan living area with west facing sitting area and french doors to the garden. With comfy chairs and generous sofa plus a cosy wood burning stove, this chic retreat will seduce you in every way.

The kitchen is perfectly formed and well-equipped, although you will probably find yourself eating out with so many pubs/restaurants and eateries in the village. You will especially find it hard not to be tempted by the award-winning Thornham Deli, directly opposite, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast or simply read the newspapers with a good coffee. But being so close you can also choose to get a takeaway!

This beautiful bijou cottage welcomes one dog and there is an enclosed garden to the rear for you to enjoy alfresco dining or to simply enjoy soaking up the sun’s rays.

Norfolk Hideaways market all four cottages in this terrace, so if you are a bigger party wanting to be close to one another, but not wanting to be in one another's pockets, consider renting this cottage in conjunction with No. 33 Cottage 1, No. 33 Cottage 3 or No. 33 Cottage 4.

Surrounding local area

Thornham is picturesque yet vibrant and is an old smuggling village right on the North Norfolk Coast. Wide expanses of salt marsh separate the village from the sea and it is a paradise for walkers and bird watchers.
There are several great places to eat including Thornham Deli, selling all manner of local produce, cakes, specialities and great coffee (and breakfast and lunch too!), The Lifeboat Inn, an old smuggling haunt complete with heavy beams and roaring fires, is great for relaxed dining whilst The Orange Tree a great gastro pub. Head to The Chequers and enjoy a variety of dishes (although pizza and pasta are their speciality). You will love Drove Orchards at the end of the village, which started as a farm shop and pick-your-own-fruit farm, but which has now evolved into so much more! Now boasting a fresh fish bar, Eric's fish and chips (such a cool place) and Schucks restaurant which is housed in a yurt you will adore the diversity of this little village right on the coast.
The beach, reached by a walk past the harbour and over the sea defence and over the salt marshes, is stunning and you will be rewarded by peace and quiet whatever time of year you are visiting. Outside of the village you will find other spectacular beaches; Old Hunstanton; Holme-next-the-Sea; Titchwell or Brancaster, where a few miles further don't miss probably the best beach in the UK at Holkham where you can also explore the hall and its vast parkland.
At Wells-next-the-Sea you will adore crabbing on the quay or visit the seals at nearby Morston or Blakeney. HM The Queen's Sandringham Estate is close by as is the RSPB reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham, or head to the Holme marshes owned by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
