Outside
The property is approached along an unmade road with speed bumps so not suitable for very low slung sporty numbers! There is parking for three cars to the shingled front area. To the rear is a pretty garden with garden furniture. The garden is genuinely fully secure with new fencing both back and front with a side gate which separates back grass and front shingle - so dogs and kids can be segregated!
The house is in a lovely peaceful position and you really can hear the sea from the garden. Holme Dunes Nature Reserve is a few minutes’ walk and there is access to the bird hide. To walk to the beach will only take 10 minutes. The owner has recorded over 100 species of birds in the garden including Avocets and Barn Owls. There is a good selection of outdoor games including boules and quoits, there is a dartboard and air hockey table in the garage.

Surrounding local area

The pretty village of Holme Next the Sea is right on the North Norfolk Heritage Coast. Norfolk Wildlife Trust manages the Holme Dunes Nature reserve. Peddars Way, the Roman road stretches right down to the coast giving opportunities for great walking along with the North Norfolk Coastal Path. The Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton is 3 miles away and the beaches at Brancaster and Old Hunstanton are both less than 5 minutes drive.

Guest reviews

Our 2nd visit to Ebb & Flo and was very pleased with accommodation and location. Weather was kind to us again and loved the rural position.

“The location was brilliant especially for our 8 month Labradoodle. Could not have been better - secure gardens lovely walks close by. Nice touches by the cleaner. Bread cake and milk left for us. Ebb and Flow clean and tidy and all bedding and towels lovely. Will stay here again”

“Firstly, although this is a second home there was none of the usual clutter around, plenty of empty cupboards etc. Secondly the garden, although not dog proof for our two miniature Dachsies, was lovely and we enjoyed watching the birds. The icing on the cake for us was the lovely walk from the cottage into Hunstanton. Plenty of room for the dogs to run off lead and we met many like minded people for a chat. We will be returning again for this very reason.”

“We really enjoyed our stay. It was secluded and we saw loads of different birds in the garden and along the shoreline. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable and everything we could possibly need was there. The dogs had a great time on the long walks. We would definitely go again.”

“Lovely relaxing place to stay This place is a real treasure, tucked away down a quiet lane, well away from the seaside hustle and bustle, yet less than 10 minutes walk from the sea, and in a great location for the rest of the Norfolk coast. The secure garden is perfect for dogs, and the conservatory is a comfortable place to chill out when the weather is not so good. It's become a regular bolt hole for us, every Spring and Autumn. Highly recommended! ”

“A Wonderful World. A quiet place to be near the sea surrounded by birds and wildlife - a place to recover and relax This was my third visit and I am sure my wife and I with the dogs will be coming again.”

“A short walk to NWT Holme Dunes and a five minute drive to RSPB Titchwell Marsh make this an excellent location for birdwatchers. Two Turtle Doves in the garden on arrival started the holiday well. A large bin of bird food in the garage was provided which went down well as the birds emptied the garden feeder every day. Looking forward to returning later in the year.”

“The cottage had everything we needed for a very relaxing stay. The best thing was the garden. It was totally enclosed so that the dogs could play outside and we didnt have to worry about them getting out. As we were down a private track there was no traffic. We will definitely return to this lovely cottage in a wonderful setting . Thank you for our very relaxing Easter break.”
