Detached, with a pretty garden and overlooking the marshes and the NWT Redmarsh Nature Reserve, it is perfect for lovebirds and birdwatcher’s alike, who want to be in beautifully quiet location close to the beach. Full of character this would be a wonderful getaway whatever time of the year.

Reputed to be the oldest property located on the historic Peddar's Way, Hope Cottage is a very pretty brick and flint and weatherboarded Norfolk 'single-dweller' cottage dating back to 1680. It is undoubtedly one of the most perfect hideaway cottages, for those looking to escape from the outside world, yet is in easy walking distance of the beach and the village pub. From the cottage there is direct access to the Peddar’s Way and North Norfolk Coastal Path and the NWT Holme Dunes and the sandy beach are both right on your doorstep too. So if you love getting back to nature and enjoy watching bird and wildlife, you will adore this place.

This cute cottage has plenty of downstairs space for you and your loved one to enjoy and the garden room is delightful in summer or winter, affording beautiful views of the garden.

Snuggle down on an evening in front of the log burner in the cosy sitting room and watch a film or enjoy good conversation, the retire to bed in the sweet-as-applie-pie bedroom which is accessed via a traditional Norfolk winder staircase. The bed with its sumptuous linens promises a blissful uninterrupted night's sleep, making it all the more tempting to enjoy a lazy lie-in or breakfast in bed!

The wildlife opportunities are all around, being so close to the Holme Nature Reserve. Keep your eyes peeled for dragonflies, barn owls, kestrels, marsh harriers, grazine pink-footed geese and snow buntings n the winter. The south-west facing garden provides views across the marshes towards the sea and features a small pond with an old-fashioned traditional outside toilet 'The Retreat', although of course you have one inside too! Enjoy romantic afternoons in the garden which surround the cottage or daydream your day away curled up in the garden room with the bi-fold doors open onto the garden.

Sensitively restored, it won a Mayor's Special Award in 2005. The owners maintain and care for the cottage themselves, so it is well-loved and beautifully kept which is testament to its Visit England 4 star gold award.

If you do need to keep in touch there is WiFi and a Vodaphone signal booster too to improve mobile phone reception.

Bring your bikes and you explore the quiet local lanes, or head over to the famous Links Golf Course at Old Hunstanton where you have fantastic views of the coast as you play.
