Surrounding local area

Thornham is an old smuggling village right on the North Norfolk Coast. Wide expanses of salt marsh separate the village from the sea and it is a paradise for walkers and bird watchers. There are several great places to eat including The Village Deli, selling all manner of local produce and great coffee, The Lifeboat Inn, an old smuggling haunt complete with heavy beams and roaring fires, The Orange Tree a gastro pub and The Coach House selling pizza and pasta. The beach, reached by a walk over the sea defence over the salt marshes, is stunning and you will be rewarded by peace and quiet!

Guest reviews

What a fantastic house for seven of us to stay at back in June. The house is extremely well equipped and feels just like home. The enclosed back garden is huge and was perfect for Ronnie the dog to explore and run around! We had the most perfect weather for our four night stay and made good use of the outdoor furniture. Well stocked games room - the bagatelle provided many hours of evening fun and entertainment for us! We all made good use of the three local pubs and had no problems with the Coastal Hopper bus for a trip to Hunstanton. Would love to think we can stay here again some day - a perfect place to unwind and relax.

Fantastic comfortable and large cottage with a large garden perfect for a family holiday. The cottage is very well finished with lots of furnishings and pictures from local artists on the walls, very spacious and even with all eight beds filled there is more than enough space for everyone. The kitchen is well equipped and there are 3 fantastic pubs in the village for eating out. Internet speed is good however the WiFi coverage could be better but with freesat HD even rain days are catered for. I would recommend the cottage to anyone.

Our recent stay in 2 Priory Court was a chance for three generations of our family to enjoy a rare get together. We were delighted with the accommodation , which was spacious and well equipped - a real family home from home. We particularly enjoyed our evening pool games. Highlights for our granddaughter were watching the rabbits iand running about in the huge garden. The property is within walking distance of the 3 excellent pubs/restaurants in Thornham. I can highly recommend a stay at this property and wish we had had longer than just a weekend.
