Surrounding local area

Thornham is an old smuggling village right on the North Norfolk Coast. Wide expanses of salt marsh separate the village from the sea and it is a paradise for walkers and bird watchers. There are several great places to eat including The Village Deli, selling all manner of local produce and great coffee, The Lifeboat Inn, an old smuggling haunt complete with heavy beams and roaring fires, The Orange Tree a gastro pub and The Coach House selling pizza and pasta. The beach, reached by a walk over the sea defence over the salt marshes, is stunning and you will be rewarded by peace and quiet!

Excellent property in a wonderful location. We like this area a lot and will be back hopefully in the autumn. All home comforts provided, very clean and well presented.

We had a great holiday at Plumtrees and would definitely recommend and hope to return again soon. Location was superb; quiet, peaceful with stunning view. Village was lovely - very friendly, lots to do on your doorstep (didn't even need the car really) and the property itself was first class. We had a wonderful time and felt really rested and relaxed after our break here - was a little slice of holiday heaven

What a wonderful place Plumtrees is. Spacious and with amazing views, you can just drink in those big Norfolk skies and completely relax and unwind. We enjoyed a sundowner in the garden room which overlooks the little pond and also from the master bedroom which has far reaching views. In the perfect place to get onto the coastal path without using your car, handy for Titchwell, which can be seen from the bedroom window. Excellent customer service from Norfolk Hideaways, they are a fantastic knowledgeable group of people, they really know the properties and are happy to help in anyway.

Wonderful house; beautifully appointed; cleanliness of the highest standard. The master bedroom has wonderful views across the marshes to the sea from the floor to ceiling windows; the other bedrooms also have views across the surrounding countryside. Walks directly to the beach from the house (we walked to Old Hunstanton for lunch); three pubs in the village; the wonderful Titchwell RSPB reserve another walk away and all of the other North Norfolk destinations (Blakeney, Cley) an easy drive away. Highly recommended.

Plumtrees is a beautifully designed, well equipped and spacious property with lovely views from the master bedroom. It is also ideally located to visit local pubs on foot and Thornham itself is a great base from which to explore the many lovely places dotted around North Norfolk. The staff at Norfolk Hideaways were also very efficient, particularly in helping us recover some clothing which we inadvertently left in the property. We (and the dog) had a lovely week and our friends who visited were also equally impressed so we would definitely recommend Plumtrees and hope to visit again in the future.
