Surrounding local area

Thornham is an old smuggling village right on the North Norfolk Coast. Wide expanses of salt marsh separate the village from the sea and it is a paradise for walkers and bird watchers. There are several great places to eat including The Village Deli, selling all manner of local produce and great coffee, The Lifeboat Inn, an old smuggling haunt complete with heavy beams and roaring fires, The Orange Tree a gastro pub and The Coach House selling pizza and pasta. The beach, reached by a walk over the sea defence over the salt marshes, is stunning and you will be rewarded by peace and quiet!

Guest reviews

Absolutely wonderful house and garden, we didn't want to leave. We all would like to live here forever. The house is large enough for big families but cosy enough to make you all feel welcome. The garden was really great and secure for our 3 grandchildren to play in, they absolutely loved it. The TV in every bedroom was a bonus as it wasn't mentioned in the details. There was everything you could ever need with extra touches which we much appreciated. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. The kids took over the conservatory and loved the toys and books. There was 3 families in our party but with all the bedrooms and bathrooms we all had plenty of space. Great house we hope to go back again soon.

Stayed here for a week with our children and grandchildren in October. Lovely cottage, parking for 3 cars, wood burner gave a real homely feel. Games room for the grandchildren, lovely garden, quiet position yet handy for pubs, play area and deli. The Orange Tree restaurant/pub was excellent, and only a short walk away. Well-equipped kitchen, and all in very good condition. Would especially recommend for families.

Superb bank holiday weekend. House is fabulous with comfortable beds - perfect for R&R! Great to have toys available - our girls loved them! Garden is beautiful and so nice and safe for young children to just play. Enjoyed beaches at Brancaster and Holme, lunch at The Hoste, dinner at The Orange Tree and lunch at Thornham Deli. All very good. Could easily have stayed longer - love Norfolk!
