Property details

Oyster Barn, formerly an oyster shucking shed is a contemporary detached barn conversion situated right on the coast at Titchwell. Stunning views across the marsh to the sea can be had from the platform in the property, especially through the telescope! Marsh Harriers are frequently seen here. Sit and watch the wildlife in the reedbeds of the RSPB reserve or take a stroll down Gypsy Lane to the beach and view the seals in Titchwell Creek.

The barn is extremely spacious and very comfortable with lots of room for families to spread out. Titchwell Manor, one of the best eating establishments in North Norfolk, is just next door and Briarfields Hotel and restaurant a few minutes walk, so if you don't want to use the fabulous cooker you don’t have to! This is a wonderful base from which to enjoy everything that this lovely part of North West Norfolk has to offer.

Guest reviews

A very comfortable cottage in a wonderful location. We stayed in Oyster Barn for Easter with my family of eight. I chose the property because of its location and the upper viewing platform overlooking the sea and marshes. We have 2 very keen bird watchers in the family and my husband was in the Titchwell nature reserve early every morning. The cottage is very comfortable, it had all we needed and possibly more than expected. We played cards in the evening round the large dining room table and chilled in the beautiful living room. Plenty of seats for everybody. Cooking on the Aga proved to be a little bit of a challenge for us, but we managed and actually it was quite an experience. The area of course is beautiful. Long deserted beaches along the coast and plenty of quaint villages and cosy pubs. Besides many long walks, we also enjoyed The Lifeboat Inn, Shuck’s Yurt and Danish fashion at Nelle’s. All just down the road in Thornham.

We love the location, with views across the fields and marshes to the sea.The cottage is extremely well equipped and spacious.Just bring your bath towels. There is so much to see along this part of the coast, shops are a 5 minute drive away in Burnham Deepdale .Titchwell Manor next door is far too easy and welcoming to pop into for an early evening drink!!The food is excellent here too.Favourite place is Gypsy Lane, down to the sea...magical.
