North Norfolk is the perfect destination in which to push the boat out and really treat yourselves.
Of course, a luxury holiday means different things to different people, but we've got everything you might need to enjoy something very much out of the ordinary:
Is your idea of luxury seven days by the sea? North Norfolk has some of the finest beaches in the UK, including the very best: Holkham. Other notable beaches include Sheringham, Wells-Next-the-Sea, Overstrand and a number of others.
Relaxing by the pool
A good swimming pool is essential for anyone looking to live the good life on holiday. You'll be pleased to know that a number of our properties have their own private pools ready and waiting to be lounged by! Book in advance, though: they're often our most popular properties.
Food and drink
When we think of luxury food, we think of Michelin stars. Both Morston Hall and the Neptune Inn Restaurant have the coveted star, so you can be sure of sampling food as good as any you'll find in the UK. Of course, there are a number of other restaurants in the area that still offer brilliant home-cooked food and drink, using fresh, local produce.
To book your luxury cottage, give Norfolk Hideaways a call today and we'll be happy to help find your next unforgettable break.
A number of our cottages come complete with a private swimming pool, which some people will absolutely love! If you're on the fence as to whether or not a pool will really suit you, consider the benefits:
This benefit more or less goes without saying! Swimming remains one of the healthiest ways to exercise, whatever your fitness levels. It's no impact, which means that even if you've got a dodgy knee or a bad back you'll still be able to get some exercise done.
As any regular swimmer will testify, swimming gives off a genuine 'zen' feeling once you've been going for a few minutes. You can forget about everything and focus on the feeling of the water and the movement of your body. We've never seen anyone get out of the pool after a half-hour swim and not feel reinvigorated!
It's really sociable
Even if you don't feel like a proper swim, there's nothing like having a few friends around and enjoying some time around the pool together. They're great for hen parties too: get everyone round the pool and let the good times (and the cocktails) roll!
There's nothing like a good break by the sea. It's one of the most popular kinds of holiday for a reason! Us Brits love nothing more than heading to the beach for a day of fun and relaxation.
Of course, there are a lot of other benefits to a seaside holiday. For starters, it's good for you! The European Centre for Environment & Human Health at the University of Exeter looked at data from the UK census and found that the closer an individual lived to the sea, the better their health was!
It's relaxing. There's a reason it's healthy: being by the sea is extremely relaxing. It gives us a chance to really relax and get away from the day-to-day pressures – often for a week at a time! If you want to truly switch off, you can't beat a few days by the seaside.
In North Norfolk, we're lucky enough to have some of the UK's most stunning seaside locations in right here in our county. If you're just itching for a seaside break, then take your pick: we've got so many beautiful beaches to choose from including Holkham, Wells-Next-the-Sea and Hunstanton.
If you're looking for accommodation within easy reach of the sea, give Norfolk Hideaways a call and we'll happily find you a stunning cottage close to the beach.
Everyone loves a good holiday, but there's no denying that if you're driving, there's often one overwhelming problem you can expect to deal with: finding secure parking spots. Of course, some hotels will have their own car park, but in a lot of bed and breakfasts you might be stuck with trying to squeeze into a gap on a side road.
At Norfolk Hideaways, a number of our cottages come with private parking, so you don't have to worry about where you're going to leave your car during your time in our beautiful county. Finding a parking spot isn't the most taxing thing; it's just one more thing you have to worry about.
The last thing anybody wants is to be parked ten minutes along the road from where they're staying: especially if you've been walking all day and all you really want to do is flop on the sofa at the end of a busy day!
There is the option of renting a car, but that doesn't always suit everyone: again, not driving your own car is simply something else to worry about.
If you're looking for North Norfolk accommodation with private parking space, then give Norfolk Hideaways a call today and we'll be happy to help you.
If you're a fan of good food and drink, then the North Norfolk area is a great place to be. For starters, there's the assortment of market towns spread throughout the region that're just perfect for picking up everything from fresh deli meats to a good bottle of single malt.
One of the things that the area isn't so well known for - which puzzles us slightly - is the quality of the restaurants. North Norfolk has a number of excellent restaurants, including:
One of the finest dining venues in the whole of the UK, Morston Hall has won numerous plaudits from the country's most highly decorated critics. The set dinner menu changes daily, with all of the dishes are prepared using the freshest and best ingredients. Needless to say, it's essential to book: the continually popular Morston Hall offers a single sitting - at 8pm - each night. There's also the option to enjoy lunch and afternoon tea there, if you're around at the right time of day.
Another gem for fine dining. Holding a Michelin star since 2009, this charming restaurant set in an old coaching inn in Old Hunstanton, is perfect for a special treat. Offering a fantastic tasting menu, alongside a very special dinner menu and a renowned Sunday lunch menu.
The White Horse, Brancaster
With a brilliant location on the marshland coastline, The White Horse Inn is a wonderfully tranquil yet welcoming venue that everyone coming to Norfolk should try and visit. The restaurant is particularly stunning, offering a combination of local seafood and produce, with the freshest ingredients being used to create truly sumptuous meals.
The King's Head, Leatheringsett
Having been completely renovated in 2007, The King's Head is now quite rightly one of the most popular pub restaurants in the area. The food here is of the highest quality, with everything prepared using only the freshest and natural ingredients, all sourced from farmers, fishermen and traders in the local area. As with Morston Hall, the menu changes from week to week depending on the season. As such, you can dine at The King's Head multiple times, without ever repeating your meals!

Some days, nothing less than a really good pub will do for the evening. We're lucky in North Norfolk: we've got some of the very best in the country dotted around the coast. Whether you fancy a relaxed couple of drinks at lunchtime or a full slap-up meal followed by a few pints, these pubs will have everything you need:
The King William, Sedgeford
This is a brilliant local pub known for its great atmosphere as well as some tasty food at great prices. Whether you fancy a burger and chips or just a glass of wine, King William has the lot. Recently, the pub was extended to allow for more dining room both inside and outside, meaning that even if you're bringing the whole family, you'll have plenty of space.
The Rose and Crown, Snettisham
With a long history as a former coaching inn, the Rose and Crown at Snettisham is a truly historical pub, and one you should definitely visit whilst you're around the coast. Their range of food is delicious, and whipped up using local ingredients. There's also a substantial garden which is ideal for families, especially in the summer months.
The Duck Inn, Stanhoe
The Duck Inn came under new ownership in 2013, and since then has become one of the most enjoyable venues in the county. It's got a really buzzy atmosphere, and you're sure of a very warm welcome from the staff. Though the Duck Inn is essentially a pub, it's got a fairly restaurant-like air, so if you need an evening venue that's still got some variety, the Duck Inn is well worth your consideration.
The Kings Head, Bircham
The decor in the King's Head is fairly unique: it's very contemporary which gives it a slightly different air. However, the staff offer a very friendly welcome, and the Kings Head is particularly well known for its delicious Sunday lunches. if you love nothing more than a good roast, you should definitely give the King's Head a visit. Like the Rose and Crown, there's also a large garden with a play area, which is ideal if you're taking the family with you.
