Totally Delightful. This cottage is delightful, comfortable and immaculately clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the beds were comfortable, (although we were glad we had taken our own pillows as we always do these days after too many bad experiences with cheap, hard pillows) and the garden room was fantastic. It is in an excellent position for exploring the North Norfolk coast and we would definitely return and thoroughly recommend it. The welcoming bottle of wine was a lovely touch too.

Another fantastic week in Norfolk. Another fantastic stay at Skimming Stones. The house is perfect; homely but special. The location is great for visiting Creake Abbey, Holkham and Wells beaches and all the local sightseeing spots such as Holkham Hall and Sandringham. There are lots of good food choices locally, the farmers market at Creake Abbey has to be one of the best in the UK! Crabbing at Wells was cold, wet but so much fun. We also saw a seal, up close and personal at Wells beach. There are lots of nice shops at Burnham Market, love the old bookshop. Another fantastic week in Norfolk.

“Skimming Stones is a comfortable home from home and a great base to explore the local area. We found the house to be spotlessly clean and well equipped for a family of 6 (3 generations including little ones). The garden is a good size, enclosed and safe for small children with a comfortable sofa in the sun room ideal for supervising/relaxing. There's also an excellent sized dining table for family meals -The sun room really is a lovely addition to the home. The ''small things that matter" were also of a high standard (bed linen, pillows, towels etc) and there was milk in the fridge on arrival - thank you, a cup of tea was very much appreciated after the drive!! We enjoyed trips to nearby Creake Abbey for lunch, Wells and Holkam beaches and of course Burnham Market for shopping and afternoon tea! ”
