Property details

Sherbet Cottage is a beautifully presented cottage situated in a quiet road. Formerly a sweet shop (hence the name) the cottage has undergone a total renovation and now provides the most discerning of guests with an extremely high standard of accommodation.

The sitting room has the benefit of a log burner for the colder months and a pretty enclosed garden running down to the stream for sun downers in the summer. The spacious kitchen is perfect for entertaining with a good-sized table and well-equipped cupboards.

Burnham Market with its array of independent shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants is just a five minute drive away.. The cottage is next door to May Cottage and, if available, the two could be booked together - ideal for larger families or groups of friends wishing to holiday together.

Surrounding local area

South Creake is a lovely village just a couple of miles from Burnham Market. There is a lovely village green in the centre with a play park for children and tennis courts. Sir John Betjeman loved the church here. The village is home to The Yorke Trust, founded in 1985 to promote the arts and particularly music among young people. A more recent development, The North Norfolk Music Festival, presents concerts by international musicians in the church.

Another wonderful stay at Sherbet cottage, little did we know it would be our last ,so lovely in every way
The décor is wonderful and it is well equipped with everything you could need. It is also central for everywhere
It does have the wow factor the best cottage we have stayed in in Norfolk, we will miss it.

An excellent clean and comfortable cottage, it felt like being in our own home and would definitely go again. The cottage was lovely and homely, we felt at home the moment we walked in.
Warm and inviting and very clean, In fact if it was ours we wouldn't rent it out, we would keep it for ourselves!

Just like having our very own cottage in Norfolk - we had everything we needed for our stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Arived at Sherbet Cottage as refugees from another cottage where the shower had failed. Norfolk Hideaways did their utmost to find alternative accommodation and directed us to Sherbet Cottage. We are so glad they did. It is a delightful cottage, well appointed, clean and welcoming. The Hideaway Garden is perfect for an evening glass of wine watching the ducks and ducklings paddle past. Very well located in South Creake, the location of the cottage makes it easy to access most of North Norfolk. The owners of the cottage have lots of recommendations to make this a perfect stay.

“We have just returned from two wonderful weeks in Sherbet Cottage - rarely have we experienced such a well appointed and comfortable holiday cottage. The attention to detail is staggering and whereas it is usually necessary to pop out on the first day to buy one or two essential items everything was there on this occasion. One gets the distinct impression that when not being used by visitors, Sherbet Cottage is enjoyed by its owners. It is also very well placed for exploring the beautiful North Norfolk. Many thanks and once again we were very impressed with your service. ”

“ We stayed at Sherbet cottage at the end of September. The weather was beautiful. Sherbet is close to the sea and beaches, and to other attractions further inland. Beautifully appointed, and in a quiet backstreet in a peaceful village just a short walk from a good pub. My wife and I both loved our week and so did our Labrador, who was welcome almost everywhere in Norfolk.”

“Beautiful Norfolk Cottage - A pleasure to have stayed at Sherbet Cottage. It is immaculate, comfortable and decorated so beautifully. The location is ideal for exploring North Norfolk, which is our favourite Autumn break. We took our little Welsh Terrier, who it was perfect for, with a little enclosed garden with a stream & ducks! This was fine for our little dog, but if your dog is inclined to jump in and chase the ducks, then maybe not! A perfect week away in a perfect Cottage, thank you”

“I just wanted to say a really massive thank you for a wonderful stay at Sherbet Cottage. We had the most fantastic week. The weather could not have been any better. We went to the beach everyday, and walked and chilled. I just could not believe how lovely the North Norfolk coast is, and how totally unspoiled it is. We were considering going back to Cape Cod for that week, but we didn't need to as we could have been in Hyannis! As for the cottage, well, what can I say that hasn't already been said by all the lovely things previous guests have written? It's such a fabulous retreat & such a treat for us to be surrounded by so many beautiful things. I'm just working out when we can book again! ”
