The Cove holiday cottage location

Surrounding local area

Old Hunstanton is a rarity along the North Norfolk coast in that you can get very close to the beach without walking a long way over the salt marshes! Miles of sand, gentle sand dunes and beach huts make this a perfect family seaside holiday destination. For the more active Old Hunstanton has become a mecca for Kite Surfing. Hunstanton Golf Course, a challenging links course is voted amongst the top 100 courses in Britain. There are great places to eat, all within walking distance of our holiday cottage, including The Neptune a Michelin Star restaurant, The Lodge Hotel and a lovely traditional beach cafe serving a good fry up! The lifeboat station is a good place to visit and maybe see in action. The hovercraft being launched is a sight well worth seeing!

Guest reviews

Can't really fault the property in any way everything was good and provided, a lovely spacious and comfortable property.
Being able to open more windows would have been useful as, most unusually, the outside temperature was in the thirties hence the house was VERY hot especially when we first arrived, which was a nice problem to have. No complaints about the thirties temperature!

Had a wonderful week at The Cove. What a fantastic holiday house, plenty of room for three generations with easy access to the beach and large private garden. Couldn't be better, so five stars!

Somewhere you would be glad to call home

The Cove is a lovely place to spend a holiday in Norfolk, as also is Old Hunstanton - there are many places to visit nearby, although we could happily have spent a whole week in and around the "cottage".

The house is spacious whilst still retaining a cosy charm. it is very well equipped and has the feeling of a real home (the beds are high quality, the seating very comfortable ....).

The location is particularly well suited to walks with a dog, or a day on the beach and is peaceful whilst still being close to many excellent places to eat, shops and visitor attractions.
Food- We particularly enjoyed Eric's Fish and chips, Wiveton Hall's Cafe, the many delis and farm shops.
Visitor attractions -the beaches, Snettisham Deer Safari, Houghton Hall, Sandringham, the hat shop at Burnham Market ... I could go on. I hope we will return soon.

This was a wonderful place for a multi generation family holiday. Although we had a few issues they were quickly resolved and we were able to have a fantastic time. The beds were so comfortable!!! And the beach so close! A brilliant stay, would certainly recommend to anyone

Set in a great location with a large secluded garden, this is a light and comfortable house with lots of character. It was always welcoming to come back to, and made for a delightful stay.

“We had the most amazing break here, the house is perfectly located, was cosy and warm and very clean. Loved it! We will be back. I would love to know more about the history of the house as I was fascinated by the décor in the main sitting room, just stunning! ”
