Property details

Built in 1930's, St Hilary's is a lovely detached house with bright, sun-filled rooms, set in a large and secluded pretty garden. Sitting in an elevated, quiet position on the edge of the popular village of Little Walsingham, with views across the village from the first floor, and over open fields to the rear - at certain times of year you can catch a glimpse of the The Walsingham to Wells toy steam train as it passes by. The house is a mix of contemporary and traditional furnishings, feels very spacious with several living 'spaces' and has the bonus of four en suite bedrooms, two of which could be classed as private suites as they have their own inner hall and private doorway to the main corridor.

Outside the gardens wrap around three sides of the property, with a gravel driveway and parking space for seven cars. A west facing patio and hexagonal paved seating area take full advantage of the afternoon and evening sun - ideal for lazy days and evening barbecues - and perfect for dogs being enclosed too.

Just two minutes walk from the excellent village Farm Shop, a brilliant local restaurant and only five minutes walk from two great pubs. Easy access to the local coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea (a bus regularly passes by at the bottom of the road), where you will find everything and more you would expect from a seaside town - great shops, cafes, busy quayside and stunning beach with its famous array of colourful beach huts.

This is a fabulous house with a wonderful, homely feel and will be a popular destination for families and couples.

Guest reviews

A perfect house for a family holiday. St Hilary's was the perfect home for a half term family holiday, lots of light airy comfortable rooms, the house catered well for our mixed ages 16 months to 60, very well equipped and comfortable. The play/music room was perfect for the children to craft and play, lovely cosy TV room for chill out time. The main room is joined to the dining area and a very sociable area. There are beautiful gardens and well laid out bedrooms, comfortable beds and 4 bathrooms perfect for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is very well equipped with a big larder area.
The house is in a quiet area overlooking countryside. I couldn't recommend this property more highly.

This house is tucked away in a quiet village hidden between houses. It was a beautiful house with plenty of space for a large family gathering. The furniture was all really good quality in every room and had obviously been well thought out. We really enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable, there was everything we needed. Every one of our party was very impressed.

“St Hilary's is a really gorgeous and comfortable house to stay in. It is very spacious and all the décor is of a very high standard. All of us (4 adults & 4 children) appreciated the games and books on offer. The garden is so lovely and enjoyed by everyone, including, very often, the resident pheasant. It was lovely hearing the train's toot at the bottom of the garden when it passed by. We hope to return at a future date as we had such a magical time. ”

“St Hilary's was a wonderful property and we all (4 adults & 4 children) so enjoyed being there. It was quiet and peaceful and the garden, which is like a mini park, was so beautiful, and which the children loved playing in. The decor and furnishings were to a high standard and very comfortable. We really appreciated all the games and books thoughtfully provided. The kitchen and utility areas had more than enough space for all our bits and pieces and very spacious, including the large fridge/freezer. ”
