Guest reviews

This was our 3rd stay at Middle Knoll and we enjoyed it as much as before. The cottage is very comfortable and quietly situated. It is perfectly spacious for a couple and in our case dog too. Having 2 bathrooms is a real bonus. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

A very clean and comfortable cottage-idyllic everything it said on the tin. The cottage had everything we needed and is wonderfully situated to make the Norfolk coast accessible. The local pub was very welcoming and accommodating to ourselves and two dogs - the beer and cider was excellent too. I would recommend the cottage and Norfolk Hideaways - hope to be booking again soon.

We love this cottage best quipped we have ever been in! Thank you. Even poo bags. Enjoyed our walks on Holkham sands. Lovely meal at Red Lion Stiffkey and Greta company at The Three Swallows. Beware the psycho cat if your dog wants a quiet evening. Hope to be back.

Came to the cottage for my birthday. We normally stay at Wells but so glad we came here! Beautiful cottage and extremely clean and fantastic quality of items within. We will definitely revisit. The dog towel is a great idea especially at this time of year. Thank you for the wine and nibbles. That too was a lovely touch. The cottage is head and shoulders above others that are a similar size etc. Thank you for allowing us to stay and we hope to come back soon (PS can recommend the game pie at the local deli!).

Our first time away for Christmas! We've really enjoyed our stay at Middle Knoll - so comfortable, cosy and clean. The festive touches were very much appreciated - thank you! Weather has been dry and bright, so spent much of our time walking and birdwatching - then enjoying a blazing log fire in the evening! Luxury. Better reluctantly go and finish packing. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to make a return visit in 2017.

This was our secong visity to this lovely cottage which is very well quipped and cosy. The heating was fine for us and a blazing log fire made our week exactly what we expected but more so. Thank you Dr Holliday for your cottage, your caring attitude and friendship.

We have had a relaxing, chillred out and calming 5 day break. The views and peacefulness is just perfect! Exactly what we needed. The cottage has been warm, cosy and welcoming. We have enjoyed our cosy nights by the fire with cheese, biscuits and wine. The walks are glorious! George the dog especially enjoyed all the freedom and wildlife. The coastal walks we will remember! Thank you for making our break just perfect!

We thought the cottage was lovely and comfortable. One of my bug bears is not having a mirror near a plug socket to dry my hair, it's surprising how many cottages don't have this, I've been known to purchase an extension after staying at other cottages, so Middle Knoll came up trumps. Will certainly stay there again. Many thanks

Delightful cottage, very well equipped and tastefully furnished. Love the seagull cushions! Superb attention to detail to ensure guests stay is relaxing. Appreciated spare duvet cover and sheets on site as it was so warm we didn't need the actual duvet! Dogs most appreciated beaches at Wells and Holkham. Holkham field to fork exhibition is actually rather good and dogs are allowed in too! Holkham Hall/ grounds well worth £3.00 car park charge.

What a find. Very well equipped, very clean, very comfortable, nothing at all to complain about. There was no occasion when we thought "I wish we had brought that with us". No need to look any further for a future stay on North Norfolk coast.
