The Warren holiday cottage location

Surrounding local area

Old Hunstanton is a rarity along the North Norfolk coast in that you can get very close to the beach without walking a long way over the salt marshes! Miles of sand, gentle sand dunes and beach huts make this a perfect family seaside holiday destination. For the more active Old Hunstanton has become a mecca for Kite Surfing. Hunstanton Golf Course, a challenging links course is voted amongst the top 100 courses in Britain. There are great places to eat, all within walking distance of our holiday cottages, including The Neptune a Michelin Star restaurant, The Lodge Hotel and a lovely traditional beach cafe serving a good fry up! The lifeboat station is a good place to visit and maybe see in action. The hovercraft being launched is a sight well worth seeing!

Guest reviews

This was our third stay at the Warren which I think says everything. Fabulous house in gorgeous gardens and only a short walk from a beautiful beach which never gets busy even at bank holidays. The sad thing is we have now outgrown the house as grandchildren get older. We all felt really upset that we wont be going again, it was like home from home. Huge thanks to Norfolk hideaways especially Chris for their prompt attention to broken travel cot. We will certainly recommend them and the Warren to all our friends.

Perfect holiday home. Excellent property in a great location, outside perfect for the dogs to play when not on the nearby beach. Inside the Warren lived up to its name, lots of space and rooms all over the place so you weren't in anyone's way. The property was lovely and clean and bright, with everything you needed right down to the welcome pack.

The Warren is an fantastic house, with loads of spacious rooms which allow for a large group to spend comfortable time socialising. The garden is large & beautiful.

We are a group of 6 adults (55-70) who have known each other for many years, and love to party! We enjoyed cooking together in the well appointed kitchen, eating in the adjacent dining area, and drinking in the spacious garden room.

The bedrooms were all large & attractively decorated, the bathrooms modern.

We all agreed that the beds should probably have been at least king size, as none of us sleep in standard doubles at home. That said they were comfortable with good bedding. We were glad that we had the option of another bedroom to use.

The hot tub was a welcome addition, worked well & could accommodate all 6 of us. We were glad we brought our own unbreakable glasses, as they were not part of the inventory.

We were a little surprised that the heating had not been turned on prior to our arrival, the internal temperature was only 11 degrees! We managed to get it up to an acceptable level by about 6 pm.

Excellent holiday home, comfortable and lovely décor. Kitchen wonderful and had everything we needed. We shared the property with two other couples and excellent accommodation worked well with lovely en-suite bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with good location, with beach walks to the pub and visits to many local Norfolk villages. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property and will be booking it again. The only thing we would have liked was for the property to have been warm when we arrived. However we had no difficulty in getting the heating going and had lovely warm wood burner fires each evening.

Really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was spotless, facilities brilliant and location such a short walk to the sea. Area was so quiet and peaceful, ideal for a relaxing holiday. Especially liked the doggy blankets etc provided such a good idea. The air con in the garden room was a must as the outside temp was 28°. The warren had something for everyone and the boys loved the games room. Would definitely go again!!

Fantastic quiet location minutes from the beach yet walkable to Hunstanton. House is well presented and equipped with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing home from home break. Lots of room for large families but equally homely for a couple. Beautifully kept garden. Couldn't fault this house and was lucky to get a good value for money price for a weeks spring holiday mid march. Norfolk hideaways served us well once again.

We were a group of 7 friends, and we needed a place with 4 bedrooms and ideally quite a few bathrooms - this place was perfect, all 4 rooms were large and all had en suites plus there was another upstairs bathroom and a downstairs toilet. The place was very clean, lots of different areas to sit in, and a games room with pool and other table games. It really was great and if I ever want to be in this area again, I'd go here in a minute.

“We stayed in the warren over half term, with 6 adults and 2 children over 3 generations. The layout of the house was ideal as the grandparents had the disabled access ground floor room and bathroom, and the large number of bathrooms (5 in total! And downstairs WC) meant we all Had our own privacy. The kids loved the games room, and the dining room and kitchen (with serving hatch) made for lovely family meals. The weather wasn't great, but the house was always lovely and warm to return to. Would recommend this property without hesitation and we all hope to return in the future.”

“I was looking for somewhere to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday, with a few close friends and our 11 week old baby. This was perfect in every way, it had a hot tub for the ladies and a games room for the lads. It is such a spacious property with excellent facilities to suit everyone. Its a short distance to the shop and beach. I hope to visit again in the near future. Had a wonderful time.”
